Guest guest
Marcy, My hearing literally turned off. I made the rounds of doctors who gave me rounds of steroids. . . Some hearing returned . . . and it seems like it fluctuates but I think that is related to a fungal problems that was mostly unadressed for years. I could control it with probiotics and crushed, fresh garlic, but if I ate sugar, it flared. Recently my doctor recommended using Lamisil (the stuff used for fungal toenails) . . . It's working wonderfully! I can't believe it took so long to get relief! I just put a little on a cotton swab and apply it to my ear. Right now I'm using Lamisil daily, even though my ear is free of pain, because I'm taking antibiotics while this mammosite ballon is in me - with a catheter sticking out. IF your problem is fungal related, your chances of your hearing improving is very good. If it's nerve damage (as much of mine is), it won't. Guest guest
Lea, The ringing in my ears was from what I was eating and the supplements. Dairy, for one, and for me, the coral calcium which had iodine in it, to which I am quite allergic (or sensitive, whichever.) Guest guest
Lea, In the literature I am receiving from the Huggins clinic, there is discussion of autoimmune diseases from dental damage, and a huge part of this is calcium disturbances. It says that two similar, yet different conditions can be created...one is calcium deposition, as in arthritis, and the other is calcium depletion, as in osteoporosis. In either case, however, the blood tests results show a loss of the IONIC form of calcium. Ionic calcium is necessary for optimum immune function, neurological function, and repair of any destroyed tissue, both bony and soft tissue. It emphasizes that ionic calcium is not replaced by milk, cheese, oyster shell, coral or dolomite. It says there must be a live enzyme system attached. What this means, I am not sure. I hope to learn more about this ionic calcium subject as I complete these tests and receive nutritional counseling to correct my calcium issues. I will share this info with the group as I understand it. But in the meantime, perhaps you can get your doctors to look at studying your ionic calcium levels as well? I find this so interesting because I know Dr. Blais suggested that breast implants disrupt calcium metabolism. Perhaps we will find some of the puzzle pieces falling into place if we can understand this issue! I also have osteopenia, which started after my breast implant illness, then my dental issues...and I drink lots of raw milk...soemthing's not right yet. Guest guest
I was corresponding with a woman who wrote a book on Fibromyalgia . . . She has severe hearing loss. . . Found a doctor at the House Ear Clinic in Los Angeles who treated her for fungal problems. Her hearing improved significantly. I took this info to my ear doctor (I had just gotten a hearing aid). He prescribed Nystatin for me . . . It helped . . but taken long term, Nystatin is dangerous. (Liver problems) . . . I learned to manage the ear discomfort by eating garlic and staying away from sugar. I complained to doctor after doctor about my ear. It never felt totally comfortable, but was bearable - unless I ate sugar! If the doctor saw fungal growth, they would give me an anti-fungal, but it never lasted. Most recently, after taking an antibiotic for surgery, then being given a really sugary drink for a diagnostic test, my ear flared - big time. This time the doctor could see what was going on and recommended Lamisil. It works beautifully! Finally 100% relief. As to systemic fungal problems - it appears that most implanted women have a major problem. Whether from a suppressed immune system that lets negative organisms flourish, or as a result from so many medications that kill off the beneficial organisms that keep us healthy, or from fungal organism originating from the implants, I don't know. . . All I know is that women do better if they follow a very healthy diet that discourages bad organisms while promoting good ones AND if they take a good probiotic (Like Primal Defense). There are over 300 fungal organisms that may find a home in our bodies. . . Doctors hesitate to test for them because everyone has them. It's the imbalance of organisms that causes the problem, not the presence of them. Hugs, Rogene
