Hi everyone,

I have been reading the posts every day, but have been too tired to

reply. My husband is gone again for more training, so I am solo

with our 3 kids (1, 3, and 6). We have had 2 snow days this past

week and I am exhausted. It also seems like my joint inflamation

has been worse with the colder temps and snow again.

I am 2 1/2 weeks out from my explant with DR Feng. I have only good

thoughts when I think about my whole explant experience at Dr Feng's

clinic. I think I am healing well from the surgery physically, but

not so good mentally. I took my bandages off on Tuesday and had a

good cry. I had another good cry this afternoon. I am honest when

I say it is hard for me to accept my new look. I have a closet full

of clothes that don't fit. :( One of the first things I did was try

on my swimsuit top. Dumb I know!! I am really trying to focus on

other things that are positive. I think if I felt better it would

be easier to accept. Dr Feng also told me that it will take time

for my breasts to settle and take on their new shape. I was a b cup

before my implants and a c-d cup with implants and now an a cup. I

went out and got a wireless IPEX from VS. It is comfortable and

offers support. Dr Feng told me to allow room for my breasts to

fill in the cup.

The pain that I had in my chest from my implants is gone. I didn't

pay too much attention to it until I started to think about getting

my implants out. It was one of those things I accepted and it was

all in a day of being beautiful. Kind of like plucking your

eyebrows. I don't get the stiff feeling in my chest or the zinging

sensations. Even doing things like bending or going up the stairs

feels natural again without my implants. So that is a positive. :)

I am still being really good about what I eat and am trying to eat

all organic. I drinking lots of water. I am trying to research all

of the different ways of cleansing/detoxing. It is overwhelming.

We are still trying to get on our feet with our finances, so I

haven't been able to spend any money. It is more expensive eating

organic too. I have been doing epsom salt baths. One of the first

things I would like to do when we have the funds is get an infared

sauna. I also want to start doing massage therapy.

Once again thanks for all the support. I would be lost without this

group!! Love and hugs to all!!!

Hi Marcy,

Thanks for the update. I'm glad to hear that you're noticing some

changes. I've had a rough winter as far as joint pain goes, too.

I'm hoping that soon my immune system will calm down - it started

reacting last May when I got the implants and now that I'm explanted

it's still in a reactive mode. I know my body generally takes a

while before it recovers from illness and injuries, so I'm just

trying to eat as well as I can and take care of myself as best I

can. It's been hard for me to go completely organic as well,

although I have switched to some organic things such as milk, and I

notice Trader Joe's is inexpensive (but it's an hour away) so I

sometimes go there. I haven't been using any supplements either,

because I've been unemployed for the last year. However, things are

looking up, you may have read I got a job starting the week after

next, so at least one issue will be off the plate, and perhaps

having money coming in will allow me to purchase more organics and

try certain supplements. Also, I'll be working closer to Trader

Joe's, so I can go there on the way home from work.

One thing that I found amusing. In my new job, I'm going to have to

travel occasionally to Cleveland. Maybe I'll be able to stop in to

see Dr. Feng while I'm out there for a follow-up visit!

Congrats on your new job!! We don't have a Trader Joes here in MN.

We went there while we were in Ohio. It was nice. I have however

noticed that there is more organic being sold. Even Super Walmart

and Super Target is starting to carry Organic. Also thank you again

for the info about Dr Feng. Like I said it was a good experience

for me. They were so nice!! And Dr Feng is so good! Did Dr Feng

tell you anything to expect during your recovery as far as your

symptoms? Anything you can do to help speed your recovery?

Hugs, MK

Marcy,

Dr. Feng didn't give me any information on how to speed my

recovery. I basically rely on this group for that type of

information, or I take a look at Dr. Kolb's website. Dr. Feng is an

excellent surgeon and I think she gets involved in the surgical

aspect of things, but leaves the rest to the individual. If you

feel you need help in that area, perhaps you might want to visit a

naturopath, although that would be additional expense because they

aren't always covered by insurance depending on what state you live

in. I've seen many on this site suggest using Garden of Life Fungal

Defense for about two weeks, followed by Primal Defense - staying on

that indefinitely. On Dr. Kolb's site, there are some mention of

supplements that detox the body and some that even expel silicone

from the body. I haven't used anything just yet because my body is

sensitive to supplements, however I'm just starting to go that route.

Marcy,

There are a lot of things you can do to detox that

cost almost nothing . . . Espom Salt baths, garlic,

coffee enemas, sweating, moderate exercise/yoga, liver

flushes, and fasting, etc. . . Just be sure to ease

into them one at a time. . .

Still relatively cheap, but effective is a rebounder

for clearing lymph nodes, clay baths, Institol (sp?),

probiotic foods like sauerkraut (I have a great recipe

for an organic sauerkraut if you're interested), plain

yogurt and Keflir.

It will help if you keep a journal describing what

you're doing and how you feel. When you have those

down days when you feel you aren't getting anywhere,

you'll be able to look back and see how far you've

come.

Right now, it may still be beneficial to wear a snug,

but comfortable sports bra 24/7. . . That will enable

the internal scar tissue to hold you " up " . . . There

will be time for " fluffing " later. It may take a full

year before what you see is what you get! . . .

In the meantime, don't dwell on what you don't have .

.. . Think about what you do have . . . a wonderful

husband, three great kids, and a new chance at living!

Everything considered, big boobs will fall far down

your list! You can always look like you have them in

your clothes anyway! . . . Chances are, a lot of the

big boobs you see are fake anyway!

Hugs and prayers,

Rogene
