Guest guest
you are not a bother....that is why we are all here.....the women have been amazing with all their support....i was so blessed to find this place....anyway, part of the two years of battle was to force my insurance to pay for this surgery....i had reconstruction after bilateral mastectomy, which is different than many women who have had augmentation.......even so, i had to convince doctors i wasn't nuts, find a PS who would even see me, and then convince the insurance i was covered under the breast cancer act, which guarantees that insurance pays for women to have reconstruction........mine have been in four years, and i started having problems, in retrospect, about six months after....i just didn't connect the dots right away.....how about you? have you told your story in here where i could read it so you don't have to tell it again? kathie > > > > Good luck to you Kathie. Guest guest
since i don't have the financial resources, and since my insurance is finally paying for it, i am stuck with an " unknown " female surgeon, who, although she isn't about to admit silicone causes illness, IS willing to acknowledge the total pain i am in 24/7.......that is what we are using to get through all the hurdles....sooo, yes, she is relatively close by, about an hour and a half to three, depending on traffic! i am terrified.......and she sees patients mornings, does surgeries in the afternoon, so i will be fasting for a very long time, which i HATE! unless i get up at 4 in the morning, eat lightly......but that just extends the length of time i am waiting.........i wish you all the best....how is the baby? what a blessing that is! when you are ready, please stop lurking........ kathie > > > > > > Good luck to you Kathie. Guest guest
no, I haven't told my story here yet I have just been kind of lurking and working up the courage and putting all the pieces together y'know? This is devastating, and I still can't believe it. I was here on the site in 2001 though, when I first began having symptoms, but think that I have been in total denial since then. That was a year after getting the implants, now it has been six years, and one baby later. ECK! I am envious of your impending surgery. It must be a relief to be finally getting them out, especially after what sounds like a long battle to get to that point. Who is doing the surgery? Is it nearby to you? diverticulitis now, explant on monday!> > > > > > hi...haven't been here the past few days, as i was in terrible > > pain....they have diagnosed me with the above, and placed me on > > massive antibiotics (i just got through with two weeks worth of > > another for my sinuses!)....at any rate, i don't want to > jeopardize > > my explant on monday, this monday, the 20th! i was wondering, > after > > reading like twenty conflicting articles, is this something which > > could also be connected to the silicone sickness syndrome? i am > > a "granola mama" who eats well, and cannot believe i have > this.......> > > > i am scared, but anxious to have this over with, and start > healing, > > getting back my life....i want to dance again, do yoga, aerobics, > > everything i haven't done in the last four years.......maybe even > > make friends again....i have isolated due to pain, anger, > > frustration, etc......> > > > i don't have a computer at home, so i can't let anyone know how i > am > > until i can get myself to a library......i will be on spring > break, > > so this one at school won't be an option.....thanks for all > prayers > > that the silicone is not adhered to my ribs or anything....and > that i > > am well SOON.......love and prayers to all of you as > well............> > > > kathie> > > > > > > > > > > > Opinions expressed are NOT meant to take the place of advice > given by licensed health care professionals. Guest guest
Kathie I don't know if you will get this before your surgery on Monday, but I will be praying for you. Thank you for your support about the lack of interest in sex. When you are well and get back to normal, maybe we can post more. I hope this surgery is the key to making you well. Take care of yourself. Blessings to you too, Cherie --- In , " kathie " <Kathie.Larsyn@...> wrote: > > hi...haven't been here the past few days, as i was in terrible > pain....they have diagnosed me with the above, and placed me on > massive antibiotics (i just got through with two weeks worth of > another for my sinuses!)....at any rate, i don't want to jeopardize > my explant on monday, this monday, the 20th! i was wondering, after > reading like twenty conflicting articles, is this something which > could also be connected to the silicone sickness syndrome? i am > a " granola mama " who eats well, and cannot believe i have this....... > > i am scared, but anxious to have this over with, and start healing, > getting back my life....i want to dance again, do yoga, aerobics, > everything i haven't done in the last four years.......maybe even > make friends again....i have isolated due to pain, anger, > frustration, etc...... > > i don't have a computer at home, so i can't let anyone know how i am > until i can get myself to a library......i will be on spring break, > so this one at school won't be an option.....thanks for all prayers > that the silicone is not adhered to my ribs or anything....and that i > am well SOON.......love and prayers to all of you as well............ > > kathie >
Guest guest
Kathie, You'll be in my thoughts and prayers on Monday. I wish you all the best. As for the diverticulitis, when your immune system is messed up, so is your digestive system, so my opinion is " yes " , the diverticulitis probably is related. Take it one step at a time, get the implants out and recover from that surgery, and then take baby steps towards getting your life back. You'll get there, and we'll be there for you.
