Guest guest
MK, I remember Jenna was posting about dimpling after her explant (which I think was in October). She checks in with us sometimes but in the event that she doesn't this time, I remember her saying that in time the dimpling did pop out. After three weeks there's still alot of fluffing or redistributing of tissue that needs to take place, so give it time. I'll see if I have her e-mail address and if I do, I'll ask her to comment. Guest guest
Thank you!! I called Dr Feng's office, but she is out this week and the nurse I spoke to said I could come into the clinic. I am 12 hours away, so this doesn't work. I just want to make sure everything is normal, so it was a relief to hear that you remember Jenna saying this. Thanks, MK > > > > I am almost 3 weeks explant and wondering about dimpling under my > > aereola. It is where the stitching is under my breast. Guest guest
Marcy, You'll be much closer to your permanent look in six months than you are now - and even then you'll likely be filling in some more . . . Please don't stress over how you look now! . . . Just keep in mind how much your kids need a healthy, happy mom! Hugs, Rogene
Guest guest
I am having explant on Monday and am very scared and nervous. I know everyone tells me that my breasts will be " sad " after the explant but I am really not prepared for that, I live in Georgia and it is coming into swimsuit season...this could get depressing. It seems if I remember right Jenna looked really good post op even with the puckering she had and at 4 months she looks amazing. I don't have as much breast tissue as she does though so I am scared I won't look nice after. HUGS, > > I am almost 3 weeks explant and wondering about dimpling under my > aereola. Guest guest
, Best wishes as you approach your explant surgery. After explant I put myself into Scarlett O'Hara mode, meaning " I'll worry about that tomorrow " . When the stitches were out, Dr. Feng insisted I look at myself, and at first it was a little strange, and once I got home I didn't look in the mirror for a few weeks because I figured this was not my final result, and why worry about how I looked at that point. After a few weeks to a month, I started looking again and at 4 months post-op I'm happy with how I look. I actually didn't like how the implants looked, so it was refreshing to have my old body back. It's the body my maker gave me, and I've got so many other things going for me that breasts aren't important. I've never been crazy about how I look in a swimsuit, but then again, not many women are, and it's not just because I'm small on top. However, the amazing thing is the older I get, the better I think I look in a state of undress. My shape hasn't really changed dramatically from the time I was in my 20's, and even though at 25 I was thinking " yuk " , now I look and say " not bad for 45 years old " . Quite honestly, once I got implants, I started looking at women with larger breasts and thinking they didn't look nearly as nice as the women with small breasts. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and the most important beholder is you, so please love yourself as you were created because that is reflected into how others see you. I wasn't looking for the tight Tshirt look....I always liked the frillier, more feminine look ( like the peasant tops and such)and it was just hideous with big boobs. All those styles are out now, and I don't care for the way I look in any of them. (I miss my smaller bust line) The same with little spaghetti strap tanks and such....I was always looking too top heavy. ~ Re: Question after lift ,Best wishes as you approach your explant surgery. Guest guest
, It's very normal to feel nervous and anxious about the surgery and what you will look like afterwards! . . . Just ask the women here! . . . If you'll find a way to occupy your mind with more pleasant thoughts, you'll feel better! IMHO, the thing to be most anxious about is how you will cope in years to come IF you DON'T have those toxic bags removed! How you will look after surgery depends on several factors . . . First - how elastic your skin is. As one gets older, they lose elasticity. Then, how large your implants were - you can expect more slackness, at least initially with large implants. . . Then, the skill of the surgeon and if you have a lift. You needn't be disfigured at all! . . . Undoubtedly, you will undergo changes for some time after your explant. So, regardless, don't get upset about what you look like right after surgery! . . . You will continue to " fluff " for months to come. Think of what happens when you sit on a pillow and get off . . . The pillow will gradually regain it's own shape. Your breasts will do the same! In the meantime, do some searching for swim suits that will enhance your looks. There are some darling coverup types . . . and you can find suits with pocket in them to add enhancers if you feel you need them. With so many women getting breast cancer, there are options for everyone to help them look and feel good. The American Cancer Society has a line of bras, swim suits and prostheses that can help the flatest women look shapely. You can find them with an online search. Guest guest
, it was like I suddenly had to change my style, when I was very happy with my style. What looked great on me with a small chest didn't look so good with a larger one. Sis > > > > I am having explant on Monday and am very scared and nervous. Guest guest
YES! You said that perfectly! I do miss my old style now that I think about it, and in the process..... kind of lost who I am.
