Guest guest
You know, I'm truly amazed by by all that has come to fruition from posting my pictures... The embarrassment stopped me from doing it earlier. That and the fact that I thought I was alone in this. Wow, I never thought this many would step forward. I never thought any would step forward. Sue, to answer your question yes, mine spontaneously disappear leaving behind a purple-like scar. But I have gotten the Derm to prescribe hydroquinone 4% and if applied " as directed " 2x a day, I have had some completely fade... If Cheryl and I were the only two of the group to have these I would say it was coincidence but an isolated occurence(sp?). This all leads me to believe that there is a research scientist out there who is going to get very rich when he does the study and links the MRSA to the implants.. Yep, they hurt...badly. Christene > > Ours is recurring CA-MRSA. (Community-Aquired Methicillin Resistant Staph Aureus. Don't know exactly where we came upon it...just that my lowered immune system from implants made me a prime target. sheeesh. > That is exactly what happens with them, they just get irritated and pus up, and then go away for a short time leaving behind a ugly purple scar. Just to come back again..and can spread to other areas and to other people. > A simple culture of the pus will tell you if that is what you are dealing with. > HTH, > ~julie > Re: Re: Christene's pic is up at Shutterfly /sue > > > Yes, sometimes stuff comes out, other times they are inflamed and painful but nothing comes out, after a few weeks/months they go on there own but never completely. > At the moment they are not inflamed but purple and flat, I am going to try and get some photos of them for you to look at if you want. Guest guest
Dear , I am not sure if you are aware of this but over here in England our hospitals are rife with MRSA, people go in for a minor procedure and end up on deaths door or dead. There have even been cases of babies being born in maternity hospitals and dying because of MRSA.I totally agree with you that when the link is realised the medical profession will be up in arms, but that isn't helping us at the moment. I need to see my Dr again and tell her what I have found out about these lumps. I hope you are doing ok. Love Sue
Guest guest
Christene, I'm w/you..I can't believe there are so many others..I too thought I was all alone w/this horrible skin rash and scars. I forgot to tell everyone, Dr. Kolb thought they were from the implants, either from fungal endotoxins or allergy to the silicone shell. So, some others may be dealing w/one of those issues; for me, that wasn't the case. I tried all the fungal supps. and was on Nystatin & Diflucan, but they never worked for me cause that's not what I had. As far as the Community Aquired MRSA...if your immune system is shot (like most of ours) you can pretty much pick it up anywhere. It is very virulent(stubborn) and can live on inanimate objects for quite a while. If anyone suspects they have it(before culture) be sure not to share wash cloths, towels and spray door knobs, keyboards, telephone w/Lysol to protect others in your home. Hugs, Cheryl PS I wish I had a scanner!!
Guest guest
Yes Cheryl, I wish you're scanner was working too...can you take them in to Walmart, Walgreens and scan them on the kodak picture maker thinger and have them put to a CD? >> Christene, I'm w/you..I can't believe there are so many others..I too > thought I was all alone w/this horrible skin rash and scars.
