Guest guest
Dear sweet, Cheryl, I'm sorry for what you have been through and hope your problems will resolve. There was another gal at explantation.com that had sores similar to yours. I do not know the particulars but will see what I can find out. Hopefully, things will get better for you . The silicone will be excreted but will take a long time. Cheryl <sunbum256@...> wrote: Hey Christene,Me too! Have you ever seen anyone else w/sores like yours? I haven't, except you! When yours start, do you get any mouth/tongue sores? They didn't check my nose, I have no idea why not, but they did have me put Bactroban in my nose, which killed it in my nose, I hope! Do you get nose sores? I could've gotten it at work, I was, recently, an Infusion nurse, specializing in IV's (Chemo, Remicaide, TPN, IVAB,etc.) & ICU nurse before that. Could've also got it during surgery last July that's when it was confirmed, shortly after, but that wouldn't explain all the years before, unless I just got a huge dose of it cause I was extremely sick 2 weeks after surgery w/sores, fever, vomiting, upper resp. inf., etc. The kicker: My PS broke my capsule/implant inside my chest cavity!! He promised me he would test my implant/capsule, cause I was going to send to Dr. Blais, but I believed him!! So, lesson to all reading: BE SURE TO GET EVRYTHING IN WRITING!! (Ex: enbloc & culture/sens. of implant & capsule & complete capsule removal!!) Mine weren't tested, even though he promised me & my husband & now that info is gone forever! When yours start, do you get one right next to the first one, smaller, but looks like it's starting from inside to out, not outside to in? I had the hardest time telling the Dr.s that it was coming from in to out not the other way around, which they kept insisting on! Over the 4 yrs, I went to HUP(Hospital of U of Pennsylvania), Wake Forest(NC), Derm. here in Roanoke, VA. & UVA(Charlotesville) & many primary care dr.s!!Enough rambling..I have some old pics of when it started, but I don't have a scanner, anymore, if I can hook it up I will, but hubby is out of town and he will have to walk me through it. I'll try!Good luck at your Dr. appt., can't wait to hear how it goes!Take care my skin sister, LOL!Cheryl Relax. virus scanning helps detect nasty viruses!
