Guest guest
, Unfortunately, no. There aren't any specific tests to see if you're sick from your implants, but your implants are WAY over the recommended time frame that they should be replaced and if you are sick, they need to be removed. Chances are great that your implants have become contaminated w/either bacteria, fungus or mold(common in old saline implants) and that those contaminants are leaking into your body through your fill valve(which were/are defective, esp. in older implants). Check out Plastikos.com for in depth information from Dr. Kolb, who specializes in explant and treating women with saline implant illnesses. We're here to give you all the information and support we can! Keep asking, researching and we'll be here to help every step of the way! Guest guest
Oh how I wish there were....it would make our lives alot easier! And we would definitely be winning in court if such a test existed! I am quite certain that the manufacturer's of breast implants have a vested interest in making sure that such a test is never developed either. Almost all of us who have been implanted and gotten sick have had to rely on that intuitive feeling that comes when you realize lots and lots of women are getting sick with the same symptoms after receiving breast implants. Way too many to be coincidental. Some women get sick right away or within a relatively short time frame (such as 6-8 months), while others spend years with a slowly declining immune system that eventually crumbles--and when it does, it is sudden and drastic. New symptoms develop within weeks of each other and life comes to a halt as formerly known. Many times blood tests come out normal, which makes it all the more frustrating. Something is devastatingly wrong with us, and yet doctors can't find anything. At that point we usually hear words like " You need a psychiatrist " or there's nothing wrong with you. Family members have a hard time understanding our illness as well because we look basically healthy. Nobody can really see that we feel like dying inside....because we feel poisoned. Desperation usually leads us to find answers on our own. And that is where this group comes in. We have found that women can get their lives back once explanted, get on a detoxification program, and live a healthy lifestyle. We have quite a large number of women who have " graduated " from this group and gone on to live normal lives again, getting jobs, getting married, having babies. It can be done! But there is a path that should be followed. It is a natural path that causes you to change how you live. It means giving up drugs as a " cure " because in reality, they are simply a bandaid. They don't fix, they cover symptoms. The less drugs you take, the better your chances of healing. We understand that at times drugs are needed for relief or comfort, but in the long run, the goal should be to get off of them completely. Natural healing allows your body to dump the toxic chemicals that have resided in your body and allow your organs to function well again. Detoxification urges your body to get rid of stuff that wouldn't normally be eliminated until prompted to do so through therapies designed to cleanse. I know this is a long answer to a short question....I wish I could have answered yes! But the truth is that if you are sick from your implants, you will have to start thinking outside the box....doctors are not going to find the answers for you because they don't believe implants make women ill. We have to take our health into our own hands...once we do, we get our future back.
