Guest guest
Hi Sis, I'm doing great! . . . I finished Mammosite radiation therapy yesterday . . . Five days of two treatments daily. I highly recommend it to anyone who qualifies! I had no radiation burns, no fatigue (except from getting up at 5:00 a.m.!) Today has been a chill-out day! . . . Just doing what I feel like with no pressure or agenda. . . Tomorrow I'll be ready to put myself in gear and start catching up on things. I'm starting a medication now that will stop estrogen productions. I'm a little leery about this, but the doctor promises to monitor me closely. AND (my sign that this is the way I should go) a friend took part in the five-year study of this drug. She said her only side effect was some hot flashes. That really gives me heart. My big concern is that one of the side effects is increased joint/muscle pain. I fight so hard to keep this at bay as it is with Fibromyalgia! . . . Hopefully I can skip the side effects and get the benefit. . . Which, with lumpectomy and radiation puts reoccurance at about 2%. . . Probably better chances that that of the public as a whole. Incidently, I've been telling anyone who would listen about breast implants and the effects on women and offspring. . . My oncologist is very concerned and indicated he would check out our group. Guest guest
Cherie, Smelly sweat a good sign you're getting rid of toxins .. . . don't worry about it . . . Just keep sweating and slowly, but surely, you'll start feeling better! I've had a few times when my sweat smelled incrediblely rank! . . . not a perspiration smell at all . . . just awful! I'm thrilled things have gotten so much better for you! . . . And, I know they're going continue improving! I'm bet your husband is glad he stuck by you now! Christene - your husband is going to be very, very sorry when he figures out how badly he's messed up! You're a winner - it shows in every way! Guest guest
Christene, Sometimes it's best just to let the tears flow . . . we understand. It's an important stress reliever . . . You have a lot to grieve over. . . But this will pass - the sun will come out, and life will be good again! Hugs and prayers, Rogene

Guest guest
Our cocker spanial, "Guinness" (named after the Beer) is my baby. He follows me around everywhere and literally cries if I leave. However, since I became really sick last year, they both have not left my side. I did see a news commentary on the Today Show about three months ago where scientists have trained dogs to recongnize the scent of cancer present in urine. They lined up like 20 different dishes with urine and the dog found the one from a cancer patient every time. In fact, in the study, the dog kept returning to the urine of a patient in remission. They thought the dog was wrong, as it turned out a year later the patients cancer returned on MRI. It was truly amazing. Dogs have amazing senses.Rogene S <saxony01@...> wrote: ,I'm tearing up with the vision of your dogcommiserating with you! . . . Pets are incredible! . ..
