Marla - Just curious, how high were your son's titers? We recently had our son's done and it was a 2.93 with 1.09 being the mark for high/"remarkable" and indicating recent or ongoing infection. We're about 40 days in on the Valtrex so we won't be able to do any high dose Vit A until we've completed the Valtrex. - Amy

Hi All,I'm jumping in a bit late to this conversation but I noticed thequestion "is he high on his measles titers?" My son just got histiter results back for the measles and rubella. Our DAN doctor saidthat in his entire practice he's only had four or five other childrenwith as high of titers as our son. What does this mean? Does thismean he has the measles virus going on? Our DAN wants us to do antivirals before we start on Vit A. Can you tell me why? I didn't get achance to ask him but now I'm curious. Our son has a lot of OCD typebehaviors. Is this related to measles? Somewhere I remember readingthis. Any thoughts about this would be helpful. Thanks.Marla> > >> > > > > > Hi there> > > > > > Our little son ( 4 and a half years ) has been on bio med for 18 > > months now.> > >

why can't you do vit A protical while on valtrax, I would think it would actually be helpful, as you would be strengthening the immune system and addressing viruses, yes this mean you have cronic on going measels in the gut or brain which isn't good

Our DAN indicated that he wanted to rotate the treatment for virals and he mentioned doing the 2-day, high dose Vit. A after we've completed the Valtrex. I didn't really question it and since we have so much going on (bio-med wise), I was fine with waiting a month or so. We have an appointment this coming week so I'll ask him about doing both at the same time. Thanks!
