Guest guest
hi everyone! hope all is as well as can be with each one of you....i survived the surgery, am having some " second guessing " remorse, am still in pain, my surgeon wasn't/isn't very helpful, and well, i guess that is all the whining i should do for now..... i did find this site, and in the reviews, it is mentioned that many people would benefit from the pain relieveing, opening, and calming effects of this program (which was originally designed by a breast cancer survivor yoga instructor)......... http://www.yogajoyofdelmar.com/ hope to hear from you all....help me get past my remorse...i have been praying for release of the self-doubt....as you are all angels, perhaps you will help me with this challenge......thanks! i have missed being here! blessings, kathie
Guest guest
Hi Kathie! Congrats on making it through your surgery. I don't think the remorse will be so bad once you feel better and have your life back. I don't regret giving up the boobs for one minute, because now I am able to get out and live. the choice was have boobs and live on the cch, or no boobs and enjoy life again. Just 9 short omnths after my explant I own my own business, and am enjoying redicovering life after 10 years of illness. Nope... I don't care that my cleavage is gone!! It will get easier for you in time. Hugs,
Guest guest
thanks for your encouraging words....it is just so weird that now, i am concave in the center of where my breasts used to be, and then, around that my rib cage protrudes! i finally can take off the ace bandage, so i am putting on cute stretchy tops, just cause i have to TRY and look ok...it is an adjustment....and you are right, as soon as i feel better, that will help.....i am so impressed that you now have your own business! good for you! kathie
Guest guest
Kathie, We've missed you! . . . School must be back in session! . . . Have you returned to work? I picked up a catalogue from the American Cancer Association recently. There are a bunch of bras with pockets for prostheses that look really good. I think you can order a catalogue by going to their website. Yoga will be really good for you . . . Just start easy and don't over do it! I'm glad to see you back - hopefully the pain will leave soon! You had a double mastectomy before implants, didn't you? . . . That may be the reason for the pain. . . What did your doctor say? Hugs and prayers, Rogene
Guest guest
--- Great to hear you made it through surgery o.k. PLEASE don't doubt yourself. You just did an extremely LOVING ACT for YOU! I can't wait to have my surgery - my goal is this year. I have been REALLY ill for a long time - 20 yr. implants and years of sickness. I just connected with " why " this year. God sees me through painful days with no drugs. I am virtually chemical free, as much as possible. Eating well is sure a challenge. I'm very interested in the yoga thing...my body is craving relaxation, that's for sure. Welcome back and email me, please re: your story, or direct me to where it might be. Guest guest
Kathie, I'm glad to hear that you're returned from your surgery. This is an adjustment period for you, but just remember what brought you to this decision in the first place. You won't get well immediately, and you've got some adjustments to make to your new appearance, but have faith in your ability to do what's right for you - and I believe you did the right thing. I think Yoga is a step in the right direction for you. What kind of pain are you experiencing? I know you only recently had your surgery, but what was the date? Guest guest
Kathie I am so glad to hear that your surgery is over and now healing can begin! Take it easy for a few days and remember that most of us felt that remorseful feeling after the surgery. Even if your doctor wasn't that helpful and supportive, you will find that we are all here to help and support you through each stage! Gentle hugs, Kathy --- In , " kathie " <Kathie.Larsyn@...> wrote: > > hi everyone! hope all is as well as can be with each one of you....i > survived the surgery, am having some " second guessing " remorse, am > still in pain, my surgeon wasn't/isn't very helpful, and well, i guess > that is all the whining i should do for now..... > > i did find this site, and in the reviews, it is mentioned that many > people would benefit from the pain relieveing, opening, and calming > effects of this program (which was originally designed by a breast > cancer survivor yoga instructor)......... > > http://www.yogajoyofdelmar.com/ > > hope to hear from you all....help me get past my remorse...i have been > praying for release of the self-doubt....as you are all angels, perhaps > you will help me with this challenge......thanks! i have missed being > here! > > blessings, kathie >
