Guest guest
My husband has some kind of filter that works on any water. Of course, we packed in all of our water needs with 5 gallon jugs for long camping trips, and filled up bottles as needed. We do that for the most part since I don't go hunting with him. But he does have some sort of contraption that allows him to filter and drink water from any source. I've never used it, and I know they aren't cheap! Guest guest
Patty that was wonderful - thank you for the time you took to reply. I am wondering, since I am feeling better, if I should continue to stay away from the wheat, dairy and sugar - and what will happen when I eat them. I don't take for granted one minute the fact that I can reach things on high shelves and pull my shirt over my head right now. I'm the type of person that, if I give in on my elimination diet, I may lose my motivation. I am so happy to be feeling well, and I am not sure what did it, the sauna, the diet, the juicing, the supplements? I feel like just keeping on going with my diet - since I feel so good. Where is your cabin? We just got a cabin - in need of a lot of TLC - in our favorite spot in the mountains of WV. But our camping trip will be taking the family to the Creation East festival. Have you been to one of them? I've never been, but my kids are the right age for music to influence them, and I think that it's the right time for them to go to this big Christian event. I think I will enjoy the fellowship of camping with the other families from my church, but the food and sleep have been a concern for me. Thanks again - I especially like the soup idea - I can make it ahead of time and freeze it. Guest guest
Cherie I am so happy to hear that things are starting to look up for you. that has to feel so good. Nothing is better than feeling good again after thinking you may never feel good again! Enjoy. I certainly would stick to the diet. It could very well be that wheat and dairy are are causing problems and of course sugar isn't good for anyone. I really hope you do go to that Creation EAst festival. It sure sounds like it would be a wonderful time. Take care. Hugs, Kathy > > > > Cherie, > > We did so much camping while I was sick. Guest guest
Cherie, I am so glad you are seeing some really big improvements! That's wonderful! I know you won't take those forward steps for granted, so I think it would probably be a good idea to stay on the wheat- dairy-sugar free diet, at least for a little while longer. That will allow your body to keep on healing. Especially with your positive candida test. Staying away from sugar will be a big one. I know how hard that is, but it is so important. Be patient with candida...it can be pretty stubborn. But with the right weapons you can get over it completely. Fungal Defense and Primal Defense will be your biggest assets next to a sugar free diet. Our log cabin is in the mountains of southern Utah, over 9000 feet in altitude. We just went snowmobiling this weekend, and it was awesome! There was about 6-8 feet of snow on the ground, and the weather was perfect. We had so much fun. My father was a Yamaha dealer while I was growing up, so we were on snowmobiles every winter, and motorcyles ever summer, with some ATV''s and scooters thrown in for extra fun. But I haven't been on a snowmobile in years, so I was having a blast. It was nice to make it back to our cabin to see it all covered in snow. Not a single soul had been back in our part of the woods, so we were on virgin snow. It was the most gorgeous scenery I can remember. We can only use it during the warmer months, so we are excited to be able to get up there again. We usually go up every weekend in summer. The kids love getting out in the wilderness and riding the quad. I've never heard of the Creation East festival. You'll have to tell me more about it! When is it? It sounds like great fun and a great time for your family and for fellowship. Let us know how things work out with your camping experience! Guest guest
Patty . . . Your weekend sounds wonderful . . . I love to " LOOK " at snow - not necessarily to be in it! A snow mobile would help! . . . Could you post some photos? . . . Or send me some? Love, Rogene
