Hi Sis: Your symptoms sound so much like mine. People used to tell me my skin looked gray. Like you, some symptoms remain, and I'm worried it's because the surgeon left some capsule on my ribs. However, 14 months after explant, I'm much better than I was. You might remember that I e-mailed the group with a question about testing for neurotoxins a couple of weeks ago. I ended up e-mailing Dr. Kolb in Atlanta and have an appointment to see her on April 11. It sounds like my insurance might cover it. Kateauntsisnj <auntsisnj@...> wrote: Hi Roxana, It sounds like you started reacting about 5 months after you got the implants. I got my implants in May of 2005 and had them removed in

November of 2005, because I started having problems right away. My symptoms quickly progressed and I knew I couldn't live with them in my body. I have never been diagnosed with a specific illness, however my symptoms are/were joint pain and swelling, fatigue, depression, numb hands and feet, painful feet, anxiety, bulging veins in my hands, sudden high blood pressure, blue looking fingers, headache, dizziness. My skin also looked a funny color, I almost looked kind of gray in the face. I don't know if it's the chemicals in the implant shell that made me sick, or if it was from bacteria in the implant, but I'm very glad to have them out!! There are too many of us with the same symptoms for this to be a coincidence. Even though the saline implants have been called "safe", they certainly were not safe for me. Also, the liquid inside might be made of salt water, but it's by no

means safe, because standing water tends to build up mold and other toxins. The shell of the implant is made of alot of chemicals, including silicone, and platinum. You would be wise to have them removed before your symptoms get worse than they already are - but ultimately that decision is up to you. I look very good since mine were removed, they're almost like they were before I got implants, and the scars are thin, and even, and I'm happy with my decision to have them taken out. I don't know how much skill the doctors in Peru might have in this area, but try to find one who can take them out "en bloc" which includes the capsule, because if the capsule is left behind, you'll continue to get sick.Sis>> Hello,> My name is Roxana I had my saline breast implant 9 months ago, I am

Hi Kate,

Wow! I'm glad you'll be seeing Dr. Kolb. I do remember your post

on neurotoxins, in fact if I remember correctly someone posted links

regarding testing for neurotoxins and I forwarded those to my

naturopath. I think since the naturopath's mother was likely sick

from implants, this topic is extremely interesting to her. Dr. Feng

performed my surgery and luckily I know she didn't leave the

capsules in - her nurse showed them to me after surgery, and I know

Dr. Feng does everything she can to get the capsules out - so I

think the reason I'm still reactive is because I'm just not doing

anything to flush my system.
