Guest guest
Most of the immune system diseases last a lifetime..although there are a few cases of permanent remissions and so called burn-out. Unfortunately these are very few and the vast majority of cases have to continue treatment throughout their lives. The mortality rate for these diseases is higher than for the general public. The reason is two- fold: first, the disease is systemic and therefore effects many organs adversely. Secondly, the medicines we take directly lower the efficiency of the immune system therefore opening up opportinities for infections, malignancies, etc. It is important to seek treatment early and to stay under the care of a doctor. Many premature deaths could be avoided by following this advice. Annette
Guest guest
Hi, You should have felt something by now. Usually I'd say 3-4 weeks, but everyone's different. Some Propecia sufferers report longer time. People starting from very low levels might take longer. Your dose might need adjustment. Check back to msg. 19894 Bruce > > How long did it take for some to start feeling better? I feel like > crap and I`m losing hair fast. Start treatment in sept. Have had six > shots, feel worse now. Need some advise. Thanks
Guest guest
You should be able to return to a desk job fairly quickly....like a week or so. An explant is definitely alot less painful than implant, at least it was for me. I didn't need any pain pills at all. It was quite a bit easier to recover from than implant. I don't know if that qualifies for "easier" for you though. From the plastic surgeons perspecitve it is a different story. A proper explant takes more time and skill than implantation, so it is not easier for them, and in fact, they don't like to do them much. Be careful of a lazy plastic surgeon, who will take the easiest path for them when doing an explant....which means to simply go in, cut open the capsule and pop the implant out. Alot of them will do it that way, and it's NOT GOOD. A proper explant requires that they carefully cut around the scar tissue to take that out along with the implant. That takes more time and skill, and gives you the best chance at full recovery. Make sure you've discussed this aspect of explant thoroughly so you both are talking about the same thing and have a proper expectation of what the surgery will accomplish. Hope that helps! Guest guest
Nothing like original BA. I was back to work after drains came out several days after surgery. No pain whatsoever. Guest guest
For me, it was TONS easier than the original BA. At the time I was a full-time student, and I was out of school for one week. Guest guest
If it seems to stop working it is invariably due to other factors eg. candida. It is scary to consider that the benefits might not continue, but I have seen such things reported or at least hinted at. tia pj
