Guest guest
Hi Everyone! It's Sunny saying hi and missed everyone lately! I've been nursing a preemie baby goat lately. She is 1 week old today and doing better already. The people who gave me their cabin to live in rent free have been in Brazil for 5 months and one of their goats had an unexpected baby on Easter Sunday. Her name is Gracie Rose Joy and that is exactly how she makes me feel! Wow. I'm in heaven on earth. My next awesome news is that I have an explant surgery date!!! WOO HOO!! July 26, 2006 Dr. Furness, who I thought would not be touching me again, turned out to be a very exact and thorough kinda guy. I saw him 5 yrs. ago and he kinda wrote me off with..."lots of women have discomfort after implants". Go away, in other words. Anyway, he answered all my questions adequately, re: capsulectomy, etc. He said he takes out as much as possible, without causing serious internal bleeding. Does this make sense to you girls? His bedside manner isn't the warmest, but like Lea said once, he still may be a good surgeon. Well, I got the go ahead from God and I'm doing it. He said he will not reconstruct in the same surgery, as he thinks it's best to wait and see how they look after six months. Then I can have them tucked and nipped covered by Alberta Health Care. That's fine with me. If you want them reshaped and new implants, etc. it costs. NO THANKS for new implants EVER ...I don't care if they told me they were organic and lifers!!! Love you guys - I'll try to post a pic of this baby goat...it'll lift your spirits! May God bless you and every sore muscle in your bodies! Love and Peace, Sunny
Guest guest
Sunny . . . . You really sound Sunny! . . . Happy as well! Thank goodness you've got your explant scheduled! . . .. Your doctor is being honest with you. . . The goal should be en bloc removal . . . the most he can promise is to remove as much as possible. You have to go on how sincere you feel he is! Tell him you want him to use drains for as long as you have significant drainage too! . . . Hugs and prayers, Rogene
Guest guest
Sunny It sounds like your goat is a gift from God. I know I have a new puppy and he brings me joy! When I am not fed up with his housetraining and other antics! I am so glad to hear that you have a date for your surgery. Now you can relax and trust that things are looking up! Have a great day, Sunny! You deserve it. Love, Kathy --- In , " Sunny " <wellnessnow@...> wrote: > > > [=P~] Hi Everyone! Guest guest
--- Thanks for your reply and support. He did mention drains afterwards, so that's good. I was given a gift today - the preemie baby goat - 9 days old now - that I've been taking care of for a neighbor just emailed me from Brazil (they'll be home soon) and said I could have her. She is Grace Rose Joy an Easter Sunday miracle baby. I am thrilled. She is seeing me through some painful days lately. Guest guest
, Congratulations on your explant! I'd love to add your doctors name to our list. Please send it to me so I can get it on there. Your breasts won't necessarily be much smaller than what they were before implants when all is said and done. They usually fluff back out to the pre-implant size. Mine certainly did, and I know of many other women who even ended up larger than before. IT all depends on how much actual breast tissue he removed at the time, trying to get all the scar tissue. But you really don't have to lose any breast tissue at all. I am happy with you and for you that you have them out, and are able to move forward with recovery! Take things easy....so glad that you are being assisted with your care by your mom and friends. Heal well! Patty explant surgery Hi Ladies,My surgery went well. My doctor took both implants with an en bloc removal and did a total capsulectomy. He was able to take the capsule and implants out in one unit. The implants looked very clear and clean. I decided not to send them to Dr. Blais but I am having another pathologist look at them here in Sacramento. The surgeon sent me home with pain pumps and drains. I am taking an antibiotic and vicodin. I think he did a remarkable job. As he said, my breasts will be much smaller than what they were before the implants and will be a little droopy. I am just so very happy to have them out and ready to move forward with my recovery.I will add my doctor to the list. He is a fantastic surgeon and very caring. He may not believe whole-heartedly that implants are a health risk, but he is very kind and hopes this surgery will help me get my health back.My mother came down to help me through the next few days and I have friends coming over in shifts with food, dvds... It is wonderful to have support during this time as I am usually very independent and have a hard time receiving. Thanks ladies for all your support and kind thoughts.love, renee Food fight?
