Guest guest
, The things that come to mind are infection (should be controlled by your antibiotic) and fluid accumulation. Are you still wearing a snug sports bra 24/7? The remaining capsule could be a problem. Do you have any idea how much was left? Have you called Dr. Melmed? I'd suggest drinking plenty of non-chlorinated water, wearing a snug sports bra, and, if it's not better soon, seeing the doctor. One of your local doctors could probably do whatever is necessary to check you out - maybe unltrasound? or different antibiotic. We have a lot of detox programs suggested in the archives. . . It's not to soon to start detoxing. Hugs and prayers, Rogene
Guest guest
, my name is too, and I have my first consultation with Dr Melmed 4/4. How are you now? and what am I in store for? I'm scared to go and scared NOT to go!ladybuglindee <ladybuglindee@...> wrote: I was explanted on Feb 28th with Dr Melmed in Dallas(I live in Seattle) Within about 9 days of explant I felt terrific and all the horrible symptoms I had were virtually gone, even the breast areas felt pretty good(and they look good!) I felt like my old self. Then I felt a hard area in the right breast(under the aeriola)and pain and tenderness. Any pressure on the area is horrible. All along the left breast has been really fine until a week ago when it staring hurting mainly, stinging, burning, aching but no hardness.( By the way...Dr. M. did say that he was not able to get all of the capsule out due to what he says is the schredded, frayed nature of them and concern he might punture my lung. Could this be part of the problem?))Dr Melmed says this is all "normal" but is it?? my breast and tissue pain is worse than pre-explant and I'm scared again !!!Has anyone had what feels like complcations for explant?? (On my way back from Dallas, I stopped in Atlanta and saw Dr Rayner(she woks with Dr kolb. I'm on Difflucan(antifungal) and Cipro(antibiotic). Also lots of detox supplements including MSM for pain and inflammation(600mgs.) They suggest a ultrsound if no better in 10 days).I have no Dr here in Seattle and don't know what to do......I'd appreciate any feedback! Thanks so much,/ladybuglindee
Guest guest
, I remember my doctor saying that sometimes something called a seroma could occur, which I think is fluid buildup. I wonder if that could be the problem? I wonder if one of the doctors you visited could order an ultrasound for you to see what's going on, or if you require an in-state doctor for that. I'm sorry you're experiencing pain, and I hope it's something that's easily resolved. Guest guest
Dear , IT is hard to say what is causing your pain and burning and discomfort, but I am concerned that the scar tissue is left inside your body. It can still be causing some immune responses, and actually changing as the body tries to cope with its presence. I think an ultrasound of your breast would be a good idea if this does not resolve. I hate to mention it, but you may have to consider another surgery to remove any scar tissue that may be evolving into something else on its own. Dr. Huang in Denver performed this second surgery for a friend of mine. She also had some of her scar tissue left upon explant, and one year later was still sick and in pain. Dr. Huang opened her up and found the remaining scar tissue, removed it, and performed some kind of internal lift on her to make her look even better. She was very happy with the results. By the way, this friend had had silicone gel implants and got sick before deciding to try the salines. She had gotten her health back after removing the gels, but missed her implants so she got the salines because they were " safe. " She was sick right away again. Got those out, but had the scar tissue left. Stayed sick, and so she underwent this one final surgery to remove all scar tissue. She has healed completely, went on to graduate from college with honors and get into a career. There are just some things we learn hard ways. I know Dr. Melmed is good, but if there is one thing I wish he did better, it would be getting all that scar tissue out. I urge you to contact him and let him know what is going on.
