Guest guest
Dear Roxana, I am so sorry to hear that you are having problems already with your health after getting breast implants. Like you, I was sick within about 8 months, and I got very little help from the doctors I saw. I was also told that I was going through depression, but that made no sense to me as I had been happier than ever after getting my breast implants. Depression just sounded like a crazy diagnosis! I also had a diagnosis that suggested rheumatoid arthritis, as evidenced by an elevated rheumatoid factor. The doctor asked me if it was in my family, but the answer was no. Nobody in my family had ever been sick up to that point with any autoimmune diseases. When you say the immune system is a little low, how did they reach that conclusion? What blood test? I also had a lowered C3 complement, which the doctor said was a lab error. He didn't believe it, and told me so. After I looked up what a lowered C3 complement meant on the internet, I found that it was associated most often with lupus and meant that I had a lowered capability to fight infections. I guess it meant I had fewer soldiers running around fighting in my immune system. In any case, nobody helped me. That doctor told me to go home and that I was all better since I got my implants removed and I didn't need to see him anymore. The only problem was that I felt totally poisoned and like I was dying! Roxana, it sounds to me like your implants are just making you very sick and need to come out. It is hard to understand the exact reason why this is happening, but it has happened to enough women for us to know that some women become very, very ill upon exposure to either the silicone shell, or contamination from fungus, mold, bacteria or some other pathogens contained in the solution inside the implant or that was there upon insertion into your body. I wish I had better news for you regarding your options. I know how hard it is to get a doctor to listen to you. It's hard in America....I can only imagine how hard it would be to be understood in another country where they may not have as much information regarding the illnesses associated with implants. Truly, I wish other countries would study these in depth before they start implanting women with them...my heart goes out to the thousands upon thousands of women in foreign countries who are sick and don't know why and can't get help! I will put you in touch with a woman that may have some help to offer you. At this point, your only options will be to either travel to a knowledgeable doctor who can remove them properly, or start doing some very intensive research into who might be willing to remove them properly where you live. You will need to ask for a total capsulectomy with whichever doctor you choose. Please read up on the explant process in our files section, take notes or print copies, take them with you to your doctor consultations, and request that a proper explanta be performed. It would be nice if we had doctors all over the world who understood that women are getting sick. It would make things so much easier. But this is the dark side of breast implants. I am really sorry you are seeing it this way. After getting your implants out, you will need to take extra special care of your body to help it detoxify and cleanse, and it will take time to heal. Sometimes it can take years...my healing took 4 years. Be patient and hopeful. Please let me know if we can help you further. I am sending your letter to my friend and perhaps she can offer some suggestions, as she is familiar with your culture. I wish you well....
