Guest guest
I would suggest, (from experience) that you get all medical records/progress notes on your child (on yourself as well) and keep copies for your own use...sometimes (oddly) medical records (and biopsy slides too) may come up missing. Missing, for whatever reason....especially when it involves breast implant patients, and children exposed to their mother's failed breast implants (as the child does take " hits " via the placental barrier through fetal cells of silcone/the catalysts- like platinum ... ....and I believe that there ARE INDEED variants of certain key genes that are elevated/mutated into whatever disease risk seeing that NO breast implant lot number on the market (or that will be placed on the market) has ever been crafted/tailored to those variants of certain key genes that may be exerted/ " turned on " ...this will be a forever problem with breast implants, so the problem, the debate with breast implants is NOT going away anytime too soon). No data, means no evidence of harm done & this is one way the medical community will cover their own tail while they harm the patient who really is suffering...so my own suggestion (from experience) is to collect all copies of all medical records, tests, and whatever, whether breast implant exposed OR NOT...it is a good thing to do. The choice is yours. ANYWAY... .... this is just a suggestion, but I know that obtaining all medical records and progress clinic notes may / can be very needed as time passes. Also, by obtaining ALL copies of medical records & whatever else you can see (what I care to term) what " words of art " / " medical words of art " physicians may use in medical records/clinic progress notes too. This is just a suggestion from me, nothing more....like Rogene said in her e-mail below, " just in case " . She is correct & sometimes I would like to remind everyone that one (any patient) would really be shocked with what information is in records that was NOT told to the patient verbally (I know I have experienced this enough) OR WORSE YET what information was verbally told to the patient and NOT written down in the medical records & then you have NO WRITTEN DOWN in black and white, documented data. You as a patient (or the caregiver) will only have lost words verbally spoken, not written down....no written down data, means no evidence? NO, it means that someone (the good doctor) with all of the medical degrees and high education failed to uphold their oath of First, do no harm to get it all documented on paper in black and white... in a truly dispassionate manner which is valid to upholding the oath of First, do NO Harm. I know (like in one of my own PAST experiences with myself being a past 1976 teenage breast implant patient) that my MISSOURI plastic surgeon never told my parents and I that my silicone gel breast implants were found to be ruptured in 1978... I found out in my medical records in 1992 when I requested the progress notes of the surgery. Yes, he did medically write down this fact, but there were other times he told me things verbally and failed to write that information down. This is a way for those in medicine to cover themselves as they sell the patient down the river to suffering. What a deal, but happens daily. At that point of deception of not telling me of the ruptures in 1978 and finding this out in 1992 I knew that this was why I was seeing health concerns in all three of our daughters too, as well as myself. I knew at that time I totally LOST ALL FAITH in the truth of medicine/science and research because I was seeing that they (physicians) will/may do ANYTHING of deception to cover the harm that IS EXERTED within the human body by the products (like silicone gel breast implants) used in medicine, science and research. Breast implant companies are also full of deception too...see what they do to the human body with their product as they elevate the disease risk by affecting the variants of certain key genes with breast implant LOT numbers? This is not good, but they think it is ok. MY suggestion of getting all medical records only comes from my own experiences in life with breast implants from 1976-2006. I could further go into more medical bushwhacking of what I (as a caregiver with breast implant exposed children) have experienced with breast implant exposed children & what they faced....but time for me is limited...so I am not able to. The suggestion I can give to mother's with breast implant exposed children is, do NOT ever give up or be thumbed down by anyone within the medical community...because YOU know your child(ren), and if you see that the child's health is questionable, then get in there and take hold of your own healthcare for those you love...and fight. Gosh knows, I have & will continue to. No, those who may read my words need not agree but it may worth it to learn from the suffering from others so that your own life is not wasted like I have wasted my own life...and damned the immune response, (tainted those variants of certain key genes) of my offspring by my choice of opting for breast implants which are one of the greatest lies placed on this earth. I (like many others exposed to their breast implants) have learned a great lesson and was given great wisdom from the very hellish experience. I know others share the common thread of breast implant exposure...so I am not alone as there are so many of us in the same boat, children included. All, take care. You might want to do a thorough investigation into what medication he was given, etc. while the records are still available. - just in case.
