HI Rogene, Can you explain to me what to ask the doctor exactly for my explant. I thought I had to ask for an En Bloc, Complete Capsulectomy and an emidiate LIFT. Please confirm because I have to go and see my plastic surgeon soon and I want to be sure I ask for the correct surgery. I want to get this over with and not ever see plastic surgeons again. Thank you. Regards, RoxanaRogene S <saxony01@...> wrote: I wish we had more than just a few plastic surgeons wecould recommend wholeheartedly . . . But we don't. En bloc is first choice,Complete Capsulectomy is the second choice. Drains areproper in either case. That said, there are circumstances when the doctorsimply cannot remove ALL the capsule. You'll be deformed without your implants. You can refute all but the last statement. If a doctorsays you'll be deformed, know that he/she iscommenting on their own skill, and run!My dream is that, one day, ALL doctors will understandthe illnesses related to breast implants and will beable to treat women properly and do proper explants asnecessary.Hugs and prayers,RogeneOpinions expressed are NOT meant to take the place of advice given by licensed health care professionals. Roxana,

The en bloc procedure will automatically include a

complete capsulectomy because the capsule will be

removed with the implant still inside. This is to

prevent any contaminants in your implants from

spilling into your chest cavity.

IF the doctor can't remove it in one piece, the next

option is to at least remove ALL the capsule.

The drains are to remove any fluid accumulation so you

can avoid the pressure/pain/possible surgery that an

accumulation may cause.

The lift is optional . . . That's up to you. IMHO, the

best time for a lift is when implants are removed.

However, we've seen some women who have to wait until

their health improves because they've been so sick.

If your skin is elastic, and hasn't been stretched too

much, you may be happy with the results, even without

a lift. Your doctor should be able to tell you.

Hope this helps!

Hugs,

Rogene

What do you mean when you say that the capsule will be removed with the implants still inside. As you can see I am lost with all of this about implants I have just started. I am taking 2 capsules of celebrex 200mg a day, 1 pill of cotisone a day, 1 capsule of calcium with vitamine D a day and 1 pill of ARAVA I don't know what that is a day. Those are all the medications that I am taking for a little over 2 months. As I told you I am feeling better every day. I will make an appoinment with my plastic surgeon to discuss my explant and I will ask for an En Bloc procedure with an inmediate Lift. Plaese send me all the information that you have about implants and explants to be able to learn and understant all there is too before going back to the Doc. Thank you in advance for all your help and time, take

care. Regards, RoxanaRogene S <saxony01@...> wrote: Roxana,The en bloc procedure will automatically include acomplete capsulectomy because the capsule will beremoved with the implant still inside. Roxana,

I can see where you're feeling better . . . but at a

cost! . . . The Cortisone (or Cotisone) cause bone

loss. It can give you a sense of well-being while it

supresses your immune function - But in the long term,

your immune system will be lowered and you'll start

catching everything that comes along.

Arava reduces inflammation and slows degeneration

(according to their manufacturerer's). I don't know

what the side effects are. You can look up drug side

effects here: http://www.drugs.com/

My suggestion is to get rid of the cause of the

inflammation going on in your body (implants), so you

don't need a bunch of drugs.

Hugs and prayers,

Rogene
