Guest guest
Hey , Learn to ride, girl. I got tired of my husband letting his bike gather dust, so I took a motorcycle rider's course and learned to ride. When I finished, I dusted, cleaned, and put the gas tank back on his Shadow, then sold it and went out and bought a Harley. He bought his Harley 2 weeks later (couldn't let me show him up!) and now we ride together all the time! " I miss the harley more, lol. Guest guest
I fondly look back on my 40's which ended about 90 days ago.... A good friend of mine at work just bought herself a Harley last year after riding with her husband for years. She's just a tiny thing too, she couldn't top 100 lbs by much. She got a sporty, though I know women who drive those big old hogs, too... They're not that hard to hold up, as long as you watch the balance a little bit... let 'em lean over a little too much and you'll feel the strain.. my friend admitted to me that she dropped hers once. Just remember to put your feet down when you stop. (but that's another story involving alcohol) -dz-Terry Long <pawpawto3@...> wrote: 46 is not that old, several of us in here are passed our 40's. I'll give it some more thought. Then of course, there would be the affording the bike part, lol. Have fun with the wind in your hair. I always thought it was a great way to blow all the cob webs out! Guest guest
Actually, those Sporsters are more top heavy than some larger bikes. I made the mistake of leaning a little too far one way or the other a couple of times (I'm a slow learner!). Once, as I was sliding into my parking space between my husband's Harley and his Honda shadow, my foot slipped on some water on the garage floor and my bike leaned over onto the shadow. Good thing it wasn't his new Harley! I had to sit there on the bike, half holding it up until my husband came home to help me get it up. Thank God it was only a few minutes or I would have been sitting there awhile, unable to get off or move without starting a domino effect! Thanks for the encouragement. You are always so good at making sure you mention the important stuff, lol. Life here, at least for the moment, seems to be going along ok. Hope it continues. Guest guest
Hi Christene, The explanation I received from a doctor was this: using a bucket as an analogy, our bodies are able to contain a certain amount of toxin load, which the organs are able to deal with. Over our lifetimes, and with genetic involvement (as in our liver's ability to detoxify), that bucket begins to fill up, drop by drop. As it gets to the filling point, we begin to suffer symptoms of minor degrees...sluggishness, sleeplessness, constipation, etc. But at the point where "the straw breaks the camel's back", that is where we begin to suffer chronic degenerative disease and autoimmune illness. So, for each person, that would be at a different point in time, depending upon toxic burden at the time of implantation, genetic predisposition, and exposures as life goes on. Some women get sick immediately, and some women get sick years later. It all depends on what the body is dealing with. It makes alot of sense to me, and certainly explains why nothing is really black and white as to who develops disease and when. Hope you feel better and have a very blessed Easter! Do anybody know why it can take so long for the implants to manifest such negative effects? I've heard from other sources that it can take years before the adverse reaction and symptoms begin, as is the case with me. But how come? I was doing pretty good at the beginning of my abx therapy. But now that it's over, I'm feeling pretty crappy again. Right back to chronic fatigue, don't want to do anything, h/a, pyrexia etc. Currently I'm 100.4 for no obvious reason. Although I will say that the round of abx did decrease the diaphoresis which decreased the itching. The funky smell I was talking about with "Sauna Girl" was nearly gone until the abx ended. I couldn't continue the light therapy because of the meds I was taking. Sulfa + Sunlight = big No-no! So, I'm back to square one. My first court date is this Tuesday 18April06 @ 0900. It feels almost bittersweet. I'm scared and excited all at the same time. Add the malaise, fever, and incessant nausea and you'll see that it's a special kind of hell I'm in....but I'm alive to tell about it. I do wish everyone a very Happy and Healthy Easter, but please remember what Easter is about. Be well, Christene How low will we go? Check out Messenger’s low PC-to-Phone call rates. Guest guest
Christene . . . I'm suspicious that you haven't been fully treated with abx therapy . . . I'd ask to be checked out for mycoplasma bacterial infection . . . the abx therapy for that last for 2-3 YEARS! . . . Mycoplasma organisms manage to hide and evade that long! . . . Kathy can tell you more about it. Hugs, Rogene
Guest guest
--- I'm glad to hear you are keeping a positive attitude through your tough times. I don't know your story...what's the court date about? I'm guessing it's about the implants. Would you mind filling me in or sending me to a previous message I could read? Thanks! Guest guest
Christene, Probably the reason why you feel poorly after stopping the antibiotics is because the source of the infection is still in your body. You probably have bacteria, mold and/or fungus in the implants that keeps the cycle going. I think some people take longer to get sick because maybe their immune systems were stronger to begin with - or possibly because the pathogens build up in the implants over the years, or it could even be because the implants start breaking down inside your body and spread particles of silicone and whatever other types of toxins throughout the body. I'm happy to hear from you, and wish you luck in court. Sis > > > Good afternoon ladies... > > > > Yes, I'm still out here fighting my battles. Guest guest
That makes perfect sense Patty Thank you! But it maskes me sad to know that I was so extremely healthy that it took years for it to catch up with me. Now who knows if I'll ever get it back? But it does make sense... Guest guest
Well WWD it sounds like you had a working retreat so everyone else could enjoy it more. They didn't believe in sharing the responsibilities did they add that to the next retreat for them all to think about. Hope you did get something out of it. Most of the people I talked to had all the sleep studies done ended up with that lovely machine to sleep with did get some relief but ended up ditching the machine. I keep forgetting the end of month thing with you and Mel working closing real estate transactions - get it all done sign on all the dotted lines at the end of the month with no mortgage pymt due the following month tack it on the end and it swamps the closers with everyone all wanting to do this all at the same time. I ask Mel - How's it going - It's the end of the month Mom - Sorry I forgot again. I don't call her at work she's usually too busy she calls me late at night and if she's growling it sinks in - end of the month. Toots you start growling to towards the end of every month ???? Guest guest
I get grouchy at the end of the month, too, plus that’s when my ovarian cysts hurt more, too. Guest guest
De, It takes awhile to get used to the mask, is it staying on all night?, they come in different sizes and once you get used to it if you are still waking up, or more important, still really tired during the day, talk to your Doc, they can increase your pressure. You probably know all that and it should be set right if you had a sleep study, but people that get used to it swear by it. RE: Checkin' in I wonder when that will start?
