Guest guest
I bought mine at the Vitamin Shoppe, seems like their prices are comparable to what I've seen at the online discounted sites. Guest guest
Hi , Yes, the melatonin is only at night. Start w/ 1 mg and see how you feel before going to a higher dosage. I'm not sure about the phosphatidyl serine. Let me know how you do with it because I need to decrease my cortisol too. I know it's hard wondering if all this is ok to take...I wondered the same but based on months of reading everything I can, the ones who are recovering are the women who are taking these supplements instead of the toxic prescriptions. I wish I could say that the doctors are the experts but in this case it seems as if the women who have healed themselves know more. I take Primal Defense first thing in the morning and first thing in the evening. It's something we will take indefinitely because if you stop taking it, the bad bacteria can rise up again. I am up to 4 tabs each time...start out slowly and work your way up to a dosage you feel comfortable with. You can read Patient, Heal Thyself by Jordan Rubin to find out more about curing candida. Primal Defense contains acidophilus so you don't need to buy both. Seriously though, you may want to consider digestive enzymes as well. They have helped me with the bloating tremendously. - PH > > > > > > Dear PH, > > > > > > Keep me posted on your progress. Guest guest
, Primal Defense is a probiotic that coats the stomach/intestines with beneficial bacteria. I think it may contain some enzymes as well but because we have so much bloating due to candida overgrowth, we need additional enzymes at every meal. I use Digest Gold by Enzymedica and have had much success. My doctor said to make sure whatever enzyme formula you choose contains amylase, lipase and protease. Digest Gold contains all 3 plus many more. She also said the more protease, the better, because it's an enzyme that breaks down proteins and bad bacteria. Patty recommends Q-zyme by Garden of Life or Wobenzyme which also might work for you. You just have to try your own thing but be diligent because it doesn't happen overnight. If you don't have a health store nearby you can go to www.vitacost.com Also, you will defnitely need to take something to kill the candida/yeast/fungus. Garden of Life Fungal Defense and capryllic acid worked for me. In addition and probably hardest of all, NO SUGAR!! - PH - In , <karenw4359@...> wrote: > > Thanks for the information...I thought Primal Defense > was digestive enzymes ???? Guest guest
Yes, you will be taking lots of supplements, some for a couple weeks and some for longer. The enzymes (Digest Gold, Q-zyme or Wobenzyme) and Primal Defense will be taken indefinitely, possibly for many years to come. And yes, you will space some out but take some together. This is what I did/do: 1. Fungal Defense - I used one bottle for about 2 weeks. I don't remember if I took it with a meal or not....read Patient, Heal Thyself by Jordan Rubin or follow the directions on the bottle. 2. Once I was finished w/ the FD, I started 3600 mg of capryllic acid daily. I took 1800 at breakfast and 1800 at dinner. I did this for 2 weeks. 3. Grapefruit seed extract and oregano extract can also be used instead of the capryllic or following it but I haven't tried them. 4. After stopping the capryllic acid I started eating fresh garlic once a day and continue to do so. I'm only taking 1 clove/day at this point but Patty was taking up to 12/day. While doing all the above, I also took and continue to take Primal Defense and Digest Gold. Primal Defense I take in the morning and at bedtime on an empty stomach. Digest Gold I take at the first bite of each meal. It's helpful to make a chart of all you're taking and the times until you get into the routine. An excellent book is Digestive Wellness by Lipski. http://www.amazon.com/Digestive-Wellness-- Lipski/dp/0071441964/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/104-2399642-0066301? ie=UTF8 & s=books & qid=1185715302 & sr=8-1 It answers all your questions about every stomach ailment out there and is above and beyond what any gastroenterologist could ever tell me. None of my doctors believe in enzymes or probiotics. They just wanted to give me antibiotics which made my bloating worse. This is the only thing that's worked. Good luck, and remember, you have to stay away from all processed food and sugar in order for this to work. - PH > > > > > > > > > > > Hi Deb, > > > > > > My blurry vision and headaches have been > > less > > > > > > frequent this > > > > > > week...thanks for asking.
