Guest guest
Kathie, Thanks for sharing! I got my implants out 3 years ago and my health has improved but my breasts haven't and I share your frustration- I have no tissue left and don't even need a bra- nothing my concave chest left and it's so frustrating- I've even debated getting implants again trying to convince myself that the chronic fatigue was just depression- I didn't improve my health until I started antidepressants....sometimes I still think about doing it, but I'm scared and know it isn't worth the health risks....but I find it hard to date and stuff because of the deformity. Anyway, thank you for sharing and I'm sure that with time the pain will subside for sure and that they'll look more natural. I'm so sorry for what you're going through and I'm always here to talk! Guest guest
Kathie I am so sorry that you are feeling so down right now and in pain. I wish that your surgeon could have spent some time with you and given you more information. Don't be afraid to call their office and either speak to the surgeon or one of the nurses with your concerns. They should be more than willing to do so. Unfortunately, some women are in more pain after surgery and their incisions hurt. I did not experience this but I have read posts from several who did. But certainly your surgeon can and should be more reassuring. Please know that for some of us, the time after explant can be hard. The stress of the surgery, the anesthesia, etc can cause some temporary new pain symptoms too. Do you know why you can't eat? Is it nausea? Lack of appetite? Most likely that is related to the surgery too, but again, check with your doctor. It is a very good idea to put all thoughts out of your mind about how you look or how you will end up looking. You will be much better able to deal with those issues down the road. Right now you need to get through this post-op time the best you can. Please drink lots of pure water to help eliminate toxins. The surgery itself has stirred up things in your body and it is especially important to get the toxins out. Are you taking any pain medication? This will definitely get better as the days progress. Hopefully one of the ladies who had pain after surgery will post how long that it took to them. I know this can be a difficult time period, but you will get through it and things will start to look up. Just be very good to yourself right now and stay convinced that you are on your road to recovery! love, Kathy --- In , " kathie " <Kathie.Larsyn@...> wrote: > > i was glad to read that penni is going to an expert....my implants are > out, but i am in more pain now, my incisions hurt, and one cannot > explain that as thin as i am, i'm not flat, but concave......i can feel > all these weird bones, and there are bumps in the center space where i > used to have breasts......i can't even consider " bras " or anything > yet....and there will never be a reconstruction with my own tissue, do > to expense, and the fact i have no extra tissue......i would love to > know if having new pains, the same pain, and then losing weight, not > being able to eat are normal.....my surgeon gave me all of ninty > seconds at my post op appt.....and i am an assertive person! i am > waiting for copies of my surgery...............since she didn't ever > say anything to me or my daughters if the surgery even went okay....i > know i am whining, and i know the silicone was bad, but i don't know > what to do now.......i pray about every minute, cause i am hurting in > my soul and body, but feel lost.........thanks for listening...... > > kathie >

Guest guest
Kathie, Have you been doing anything to detox? . . . What I have in mind is something like " The Maker's Diet " - or at least some probiotics . . i.e. Fungal and Primal Defense. I'm amazed that your doctor isn't more attentive! Do call the doctor's office with your concerns! If nothing else, sit yourself in their waiting room and speak loudly with other patients about your concerns about the care you've been getting! . . . That is guaranteed to get attention! Hugs and prayers, Rogene
Guest guest
Kathie and Amber, A REAL man isn't nearly as interested in your boobs as what's in your head! . . . . Think about what you find important for a long term relationship with a man . . . How many of those things are related to his physical features? Guest guest
Kathie, You're not whining .. . You're grieving . . . That's only natural. Your body image is not the image you want for yourself. . . I can't imagine anyone losing part of their body who doesn't grieve for what's lost. .. . Just know that, compared to some losses, yours are minor! You can still see, hear, think, work and use your limbs. Please know that you will get through this . .. and that, when all the pain is over and you start feeling like yourself you will realize that having your implants removed was the best thing you've ever done for yourself! We're here anytime you need us! We understand - most of us have given up our implants - some have given up their breasts. . . You are not alone!
