Guest guest
Good Morning Ladies! I am on day #3 for fasting. I am feeling pretty good, better than I expected. I havent had anything except water. I had a slight headache last night, but going to bed early really helped. I was getting light headed much more in the evening and also this morning. I am planning on introducing juices tommorrow morning and extending on for a few days. Patty, do you know of the best types of juicing to add first and which ones to avoid right away? I will do only water today, can I add green tea today or should I keep going with water only? Have a good day! L Blab-away for as little as 1¢/min. Make PC-to-Phone Calls using Messenger with Voice. Guest guest
, I have to retype this post...the last one got lost! I am so glad you are seeing good results from your fast so far. I easily get lightheaded too when I fast, so be sure to be careful when getting up from your bed. Regarding the tea, you can add it in today if you'd like, but I would not do the green tea due to the caffeine content. I would add in an herbal tea instead, such as dandelion, mint, or licorice. When juicing, you are going to want to add in juices that are highest in Vitamin C and glutathione content, as fasting depletes glutathione, a very important anti-oxidant. Vitaminc C is also an important anti-oxidant and helps elevate glutathione in the cells. Watermelon is a great juice to start with, but it is kind of early in the season for it. While orange juice and grapefruit juice are both high in Vit C and glutathione, I would avoid them because citrus juices tend to promote swelling and inflammation. They are not good choices for anyone suffering from any type of arthritis. I would avoid all citrus juices. However, the exception would be lemon juice. Lemon juice is a great liver supporter, and a fantastic juice to start with would be apple/lemon. It makes a very yummy lemonade. You can use about 2-3 apples, and only a little lemon. Try it! Other juices should focus on the other fresh fruits and vegetables high in glutathione content. Foods richest in sulfur-containing amino acids are usually the best source of glutathione. Here is a list of foods highest in glutathione: avocadoes asparagus okra cauliflower broccoli potatoes spinach walnuts garlic tomatoes watermelon grapefruit acorn squash strawberries orange cantaloupe peach zucchini spinach Raw milk and raw eggs are also high sources. Cooking in general depletes glutathione, so if the goal is to eat a diet high in glutathione, it is a raw diet. Pineapple is also a great juice to add in, as it is high in bromelain, an anti-inflammatory enyzme. I saw your previous post about the pus spot in your incision, and I would encourage you also to add in some anti-bacterial supplements when you start the juices. I would suggest things like oregano oil, olive leaf extract, grapefruit seed extract and colloidal silver. Now, hopefully this post will make it!
