Guest guest
Hello All, Well we are finally here. After lugging heavy luggage around airports we realized that I'm not going to be able to carry anything going home. So we might be mailing home some of our things. The weather here is very cool in the mid 50's so at least we brought enough clothes to stay warm. Our flight was nice. Tom slept and I played with my laptop and watched Pretty Woman on it. I've pasted my new grandson's picture on my laptop so I get all joyful each time I turn it on. The Atlanta airport is hugh so we had to take a train just to get our luggage. From there we went to find the Hertz van so that we could pick up our car. Once on the road we got lost but finally found our hotel. The hotel was not what we expected with lots of steps and the major freeway right next to it. So after several calls and Tom's great thinking (mine was gone) we found a beautiful place called the Marriott Evergreen Resort. It is about 20 minutes further from the doctor and clinic but well worth it. It's in Stone Mountain National Park. Our room is on the lake and it is beautiful. It is so green here. So we finally checked into our room about 10:00pm Atlanta time and fell asleep about 12:30. Today we have rested, eaten, eaten again and we each had a massage. Tom wanted me to have a really nice place to heal and this is the place!!! He is sooooo sweet. They charge $10.00 a day here for internet so I am on today and tomorrow until noon. Then I will probably sign on again on Thursday and let you know how I am doing after surgery. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. Love, Penni & Tom

Guest guest
Penni, I'm so glad to hear you've found a beautiful place to heal! . . . I'm having a very busy weekend/week - and I'm not able to read the messages right now! . . Just know that you're in our prayers! . . . You might find there is some kind of valet service at the airport that can help you manage the baggage for less that it would cost to ship it home. . . Give them a call! I can't imagine building an airport without accomodations for those who can't haul baggage around! I know you can request a wheelchair to avoid walking the concourses. Hugs and prayers, Rogene
