Guest guest
I have 2 weeks to go and I am dreading going to my new PCP. Whenever I change DRs I have to go through the whole explaination about my 6 knee surgeries and how I am in chronic pain, etc... Then I always have to listen to " the lecture " about the drugs I take and how they are addictive blah blah blah. And the funny thing is hes not the one prescribing them! I have a very, very understanding pain doc who gives me my scripts without question every month. It seems that dr.s want to put thier 2 cents in even if they arent prescribing. Idiot. The one med besides my cholesterol and HBP med he needs to prescribe is soma. I know he will get a kick out of that LOL. I just wish my last PCP hadnt moved out of state. I dread going to the dr anyway and I am NOT looking forward to this. They always take my weight and say I gotta diet. Well dontcha think I know this from my pants size? Hello? well just had to vent hope everyone is pain free. kelizabeth
Guest guest
Dear Kathaleen, Hello,My name is Tricia-angelsr_watching@... i know exactly what you mean regardingcnaging PCP's as I was oing alright witj my insurance but then suddenly I ad to change as my doctor was not accepting the insurance that I hadWhich meant that I could not see him again until I got the insurance that he did accept,I went to another doctor while I was waiting but he was somewhat rude and did not understand my pain and my knee.I kept trying to call to get my PCP changed but they were very hard to even get a hold of.So it took me awhile which meant I just had to deal with the pain that was getting more severe everyday because I had nothing to take and forget about the ER at Licking Memorial Hospital in Newark,Ohio as they a very rude, especially a certain doctor that is an ER doctor who had quit the Er to open his practice, but nobody would go to him!(HMM) he is probably still trying figure out why as he has returned to the ER unfortunately as he is not a good asset for the ER.At the ER they lookat you like your pill popper, which I am sure they do have some, but when they can see something is wrong just by looking, they should not judge you as such. They really should not even judeg people anyways, but they do.They could tell there was something very wrong with my knee as it was swelling and buldging, and very painful. But the doctor was rude and said to me that his knee was much worse. Looked fine to me as he was not having any problems walking. Maybe because he was getting his own meds.As some doctors and nurses have done. Not all,but some of them. And they want to talk about us,you know. Anyways I left in pain and they refused to treat me.I told them a few chioce words before I left, and have not been back since. This was during the time I could not see my regular doctor because of the thing with the insurance as the Er doctor just could not seem to inderstand. As he is an idiot. I am very pleased to tell you that I do have the insurance my doctor accepts now.So I am able to get some relief so it is tolerable ,but the pain does not go away. I was sent to a specialist and he is another idiot as he tried to tell me my knee was normal,be cause the Xrays did not show anything, but the MRI I had done before I had to stop going to my doctor did show something but the specialist was not interested in the MRI results. I have told my doctor that the specialist is wrong as I know there is something wrong with my knee as there is too much swelling and buldging for it to be " Normal " not to even mention all the pain. I am considering having my doctor refer me to Columbus,Ohio so I can go to OSU. I know exactly what you mean about the docs and pain meds.Nobody should have to be in PAIN. The doctors and nurses in the ER and everywher else need to remember one thing: If it was not for the sick and injured they all would not have their jobs, you know???I am going to gp for now. Thanks for letting me ramble away. Feel free to e mail me anytime nd i really do hope that you feel better. Take care, Tricia Well here I go again....
