Guest guest
has the Beckett Waiver. We did not qualify for Medicaid because we have college funds for the girls (how irresponsible!), but we were losing our insurance when my husband switched jobs. suddenly became the biggest pre-existing condition this side of the Mississippi! We got info on the Beckett Waiver from our local Women and Family Services. Our CHARGE kids qualify medically in several different ways (heart defect alone would do it in most cases!) I would be glad to mail you all the information that I have about it! Just send your address to my e-mail address at Cae@.... Amy

Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I have a silly question. I just found out yesterday that my cobra insurance is ending in Oct. For some reason I misunderstood and thought it lasted longer but anyway, Is there anyone that was able to get insurance after their insurance ended? I know I have preexisting illnesses but I just thought I would ask the group. If anyone was able to find insurance, please let me know!! Thanks, Donna in GA
Guest guest
My name is Carolyn and I have FMS/CFS and some arthritis and my husband has had several failed back surgeries and also arthritis among a few other problems so we have a lot of pain in our house. I wanted to see if I could help Donna w/her Cobra. I have understood that even w/preexisting conditions, if you have had continuous coverage that they HAVE to cover you; that's the good news--the bad news is I'm sure it is pricey. I'm on Cobra myself right now and it expires in March, 09 and need to find a policy myself. Good luck, Donna!! C:o) & Carolyn McElroy MCELWOLF@...
