Guest guest
Tricia, I know we all have different reactions to meds but I will tell you about mine with Lyrica. When my doctor mentioned Lyrica to me I was so excited because I had heard a lot of good stuff about it. Well, not only did it not help my pain, I couldn't even tell I had taken anything. I didn't feel sleepy or anything and it sure didn't even touch the pain. I think with chronic pain it is just trial and error. Sometimes it is very frustrating. I am back on Neurontin now but that by itself wouldn't do anything for me. I take hydrocodone 10mg Also known as Norco. I take up to eight of them a day along with tramadol up to six a day. You would think that with all that I would be a zombie, but I can't function any other way. That is what it takes for me to feel " normal. " I still have breakthrough pain (I know I shouldn't) even with all those meds. I don't know what is next. I had MRI's of my entire spine and the results are pretty screwed up. I will see the doctor next month and I'm almost afraid of what torture he will come up with. I know this much, I am not having anymore back surgeries. I've had two that didn't work so I'm not interested in anymore. Anyway, I hope we all find some relief. Keep hoping and don't give up. Keep coming here so we can support you. My neck is how all of my problems started 22 years ago. Jodie > > Thank you I will look into this and mention it to my doctor and will do research on this myself.I sometimes have pinching feeling in the lower part of my neck between the shoulders that hurts alot too. Does not happen all the time.He gave me lyrics hoping that it would help I think but it really does not.Depending on his reaction to what I ay to him will determine if i go to OSU which I more than likely will go there.Thank You for your support and taking the time to care,I will be thinking about all of you! > Tricia > > > > tricia/ your pain n doc issues ect/ lyrica--ohio/ columbus drs?? i have a friend there > > *Hi Tricia,* > *I can TOTALLY understand having a tough time due to pain- even when taking > meds. i personally had a heck of a weekend pain wise and most of yesterday > was spent on couch and crying.
