I guess I have had good luck with my Dr. here in Michigan. It is a she....and I just saw her for pre-surgery blood work and physical. I wanted to let her know what was going on with my implants and that I was getting them out etc. She was very open to listening to me, wrote me a letter of medical necessity for explant.. for the insurance co. AND told me to keep her updated as she is very interested in what happens. She asked if they would take some pictures of the implants after they are out, she would be interested in seeing them. She also admitted that as a Dr. she really had no better idea about it than we (the women with implants) do. One minute they are safe....then you might hear maybe not....and then they are safe again. (I suppose via the media..medical journals etc.) She was very receptive to the idea that the implants have made my daughter sick also...and to only using Zithromax when needed and asked if we would like to be referred to a specialist for her. (I wish there were such a thing!) Anyhow, I am feeling lucky I guess that she was so good about. I know I was very nervous to approach the whole subject.....

I too can't wait to get rid of these things. My poor DD will have to deal with her issues forever.

I can see some women not bringing up Implants, because you are right, you will be told your crazy. I was on numerous times, well they don't say your crazy, they say your nerves are shot and its stress, anxiety. I never faced any of that prior to breast implants. I did tell every doctor it was my breast implants, and told I was nutty. However, I have only had implants for one year 3 months, and sick since day one with muscle aches and pains. I had a good feeling it was due to them, I tell every doctor I go to its that because it is, they tell me otherwise. I will not be lied to any longer, I will ruin my second summer getting these things removed. Last summer was ruined because of being sick, this one too. I only hope that next summer I can be healthy and enjoy life. I don't agree that we lay down and just be lied to any longer. Maybe if we speak out someone somewhere will believe Saline Implants make some women sick, it may not be all women but some can't handle them. I know my body is wiped out and I know what from, and no doctor on this planet will tell me otherwise. I have to fight for my health, I gave them one year and three months to lie to me. I can't wait til removal to get well.
