Yes, I have had several tests recently, and all are in the " normal "

range. A year ago my thyroid was at 3.0 and I was so sluggish,

gained 10 pounds, felt depressed, etc. That was also in the " normal "

range, but not normal for me. I am now losing that 10 pounds and

feel much more like me. I had a couple of different tests to see if

they were in the proper range. Unfortunately my doctor seems to

think if my tests are in the " normal " range, that everything is OK,

so I have to keep track of this myself and try to keep it where it

belongs for me.

Lynda,

That's really good to know. I have to visit my regular MD soon for

an unrelated reason, so I'm going to ask for copies of the bloodwork

I had there over the past year. I had bloodwork run there right

before I got my implants, although I can't recall if I had a TSH

run - I know I had that run within a few months after getting

implants.

Sis,

Be prepared that most doctors are not yet up to date with this very new info.

Lynda,

This doctor has actually been through the ups and downs of implants

with me, but she won't come out and say they're the problem (and she

won't come right out and say they aren't). She's been very

supportive through this whole thing, though. I figure if I decide

to work on the thyroid, it will be through the holistic doctor I'm

going to. I've gone through the frustration of being told " it's not

the implants " with other doctors so I use the MD's for things that I

need them for, the I use alternative practioners for the rest.

Sherry

thank you for your input - my ND ran ferritin and free T(3 or 4??)

my values fell at the bottom of the normal range for both. An MD

would call that normal, but he thought I would benefit from the

Westhroid, and I think he was right.

I don't think I am familiar with your story. Have you been sick

from implants, or are you just here to help?

Hi Cherie, Another thyroid victim! There are so many of us. Were you tested for Hashimoto's? Coconut oil acts as an anti-fungal, amongst other things. It is great to cook with, and is a wonderful moisturizer too. Some people take it by spoon everyday just to get a dose of good fats. I believe it is the lauric acid that is the anti-fungal. Here's some info: "Approximately 50% of the fatty acids in coconut fat are lauric acid. Lauric acid is a medium chain fatty acid, which has the additional beneficial function of being formed into monolaurin in the human or animal body. Monolaurin is the anti-viral, antibacterial, and antiprotozoal monoglyceride used by the human or animal to destroy lipid coated viruses such as HIV, herpes, cytomegalovirus, influenza, various pathogenic

bacteria including listeria monocytogenes and heliobacter pylori, and protozoa such as giardia lamblia. Some studies have also shown some antimicrobial effects of the free lauric acid." As a "functional food," coconut oil is now being recognized by the medical community as a powerful tool against immune diseases. Several studies have been done on its effectiveness, and much research is currently being done on the incredible nutritional value of pure coconut oil. http://www.coconut-info.com/ I'd love to have some pictures to post. You can do it yourself by just setting up a shutterfly account, and then going to our webpage on shutterfly and adding the pics to an album or creating a new one of your own. www.shutterfly.com That's the link that will get you started. After you have your own ID, then you can

go to http://.shutterfly.com/action/ and after you put in the password implants you can add your pictures. PattyCherie <funhome2@...> wrote: Sisyou may have mentioned, but did you have your thyroid levels checked? I think that when Dr. Leu detected that and put me on Westhroid, that made a big difference for me - after about four weeks of taking it. For the yeast, it was a combination of oregano and another pill - I think it began with a B. I hope you find what really works for you soon. What does the coconut oil do? I have been experiencing a relapse of pain and read about potatoes being a nightshade vegetable which contains solanine, which can

cause inflammation in some people. I had a couple meals last weekend with potatoes, and decided to lay off and see what happens. When I told my husband about potatoes now, he just said "what next!!" I would like to post some pictures to the photos section, but I can't seem to figure out how to do it. I should ask Patty about that one.It really is wonderful to see you giving support to so many girls here. Keep up the good work!!Cherie
