Guest guest
Sis, I have done both highlights using the mesh cap and regular hair coloring where it's all over my scalp, and I have not had much of a reaction to either, though I prefer that none of it touches my head. I think you will be okay. I do a coffee enema afterwards to help get rid of any toxins that I was exposed to. I also try to do the full head tinting as rarely as possible. I try to use the highlights with the cap over my scalp more often, so I end up coloring my hair only a couple times a year rather than every 6 weeks. While I think that exposure is not good, I know that things can be done to help offset it. Maybe you can project how you want to schedule your highlighting so that you can minimize exposure and combine various techniques. You can also do natural highlights with things like lemon juice, chamomile tea (for blonde). I have also used Sun-In during the summer months, just lightly spraying it on. There are products out there that are sold in natural health food stores that are safer hair colors, and one that I would really love to try is henna. But it isn't recommended for those who already have metallic dyes on their hair, so I have to wait until my natural hair color grows out. Has anyone on the group used henna before? Here is just one link on Light Mountain Henna...there are lots of others: http://www.bytheplanet.com/Brands/LightMountain/lightmountainhenna.htm Sis, I wish you wellness! One of my friends owns a salon and suggested putting high and low lights in my hair (essentially using dye in 3 different colors). I like the idea however I'm worried that my body will react negatively to the hair dye. She says she uses a mesh so that the dye never touches your head, but I'm skeptical, because I feel that somehow there will still be some dye that touches me in some way. Does anyone post-explant color their hair, and if so, did you notice any reactions?Sis Get amazing travel prices for air and hotel in one click on FareChase
