Just wondering if everyone that had explantation and a lift went under

general anesthesia (unconscious).....or if some had Twilight

anesthesia (local with sedation - basically sleeping).

I am really afraid of anesthesia...never have been under general

anesthesia before....

I would think there would be fewer affects with Twilight...than with

general.....and have asked Dr. Kolb is I could have Twilight. She

said..... " anesthesia prefers general " ...but I might still ask for the

Twilights if at all possible. That is how afraid I am of

anesthesia....

Well, in this situation, I recommend general. I had twilight to

remove the scar capsules, and believe me, I felt a lot more pain than

I was supposed to feel.

General is so much less problematic than it was 20 years ago. Trust

your doctor's advice on this.

Thanks Lynda...

I know I don't want to feel any pain..that's for sure. I have a low

tolerance for it.

Thanks for your input....I guess I just have to trust the

anesthesiologist and the doctor.

Hi

There are several sites with information on anesthetics for people with

MCS/Fibro/ME , there are safer choices I do not believe  there will be something

completely safe.  I understand that if for oral surgery you should get Vit C

after not before, stop Vit E due to bleeding. Gas anesthetics are not safe and

should be avoided.  There are some preservative free.  Anyway here they are.

Hospital Protocol to have with you and present in the case of Hospitalization or

other need.
