Guest guest
Sherry, I can appreciate the work you are trying to do, but is an internet support forum the appropriate place to have high expectations of professionalism? I think you ask too much. This support group is a casual place for women to come to find encouragement, hope, answers about implant experiences, suggestions for detoxification and to regain health, friendship, comraderie, freedom to vent, understanding, and the many other things that are necessary for women in desperate situations. We never stated that it was a professional organization with professional accreditation. We try to be helpful and accurate in the information we provide, but the goal is to support women in their quest to regain health after experiencing trouble with implants. That support takes many forms, so please don't be critical of the way anyone chooses to express themselves here. Support means saying, "Yes, I understand what you are going through, and then offering assistance in various ways. It is simply a place for women to come because they aren't getting help anywhere else. Understandably, there is alot of anger when women discover the truth about their implants. We are emotional women, and that is entirely okay with me. How could we expect anything other than that? It amazes me how professionals muzzle patients simply in the interest of appearing credible. This is life. As I stated, I can appreciate your desire to offer assistance....I think you just need to network with the other professionals that are out there working on the same goals. We probably won't be technically accurate, 100% of the time, because we do speak from our own understanding, which varies depending on our background etc.You are right about there being a larger picture. That picture involves medical research, and how (and by whom) it is done. Right now, there is little incentive or funds for independent research into systemic illness and breast implants.> In , _00_ <5678@> wrote:> >> > You ask if I am serious? Guest guest
--- Patty, that was well put. It's hard to be " in control " and eloquent when you're in pain from head to toe and can't take pain pills to manage the pain! I agree that we should be assertive and tactful when dealing with professionals, and such but to not have a safe place to come for support? That would not be good.
