Guest guest
Liz, OMG you poor thing. Please get help by a qualified doctor immediately. I feel for you girl so bad. I just got explant last Wednesday. I had Saline implants for one year and 4 months. I was sick from jump. My PS wouldn't help me. I also heard a lot of talk if you just get a redo it will fix you. This is so far from true. Did you have silicone or saline? Did the PS send off to be tested? I am worried about you. I also had that pain in my right side neck arm etc. right after surgery. Then it got worse, I had 33 symptoms when I went last week to get these toxic bags out of me. I go to the new PS who is Dr. Kolb a specialist in Atlanta, Georgia, she knew just by feeling my right implant that I was infected. When she took the implants out the left one was OK the right one was infected and had stuff floating in it. I don't have the result of what was floating in it yet, but it was deadly to me. I am so sick and hope that I will regain my health back some day. Number one get a specialist to help you immediately or just a second opinion. You can also read a list of stuff that can be in your implants. If your PS left your capsule in then you are probably still infected. I feel so bad for you and I know where you are coming from trust us we all do here on this site. Please write back and get more information and this site will send you to the proper care. There is a list of doctor to choose from and some will take your insurance for the procedure. Good Luck and take care of yourself. Guest guest
Liz, I'm so sorry! . . . You've found the right group - but a little late I'm afraid! . . . You'll find a lot of information here about the symptoms women experience from breast implants . . . Please read through as many as possible. You'll find that we stress very strongly that implants MUST be removed properly . . . That means removing the entire capsule - a capsulectomy. You should be able to get a copy of your post-surgery report. See if the doctor mentions doing a capsulectomy. The thing is that, especially when a woman is symptomatic, the capsule is likely to hold bacteria and/or fungus that, when cut open, can spill into ones body. Putting new implants in on top of the old capsule just makes matters worse. I hope you're looking for a straight answer . . . What I suggest is that you have your new implants removed as soon as possible - along with the capsules from your old implants. We have a list of doctors who we trust to remove implants. Maybe one is near you - and we have files explaining why. Maybe you can find a doctor who willing to do the surgery right . . . I doubt your plastic surgeon is going to be the right doctor. You might try reporting him - but, right now, take care of yourself! In the meantime, you might be able to reduce your symptoms by taking antibiotics, followed by antifungals as well as an excellent diet . . . I'd suggest " The Maker's Diet " Rubin. . . You can find it online easily. www.iherb.com has it. Please let us know how you're doing! We've seen many women come to the group like you, and worse. We understand what you're going through. As bad as it is right now, it can get worse! . . . That's why taking immediate action is important! The good news is that you can get much better and enjoy life again! . . . Hugs and prayers, Rogene
Guest guest
---Hi, Liz - my name is Sunny. Welcome to the site! I've been a member for a short few months, and have received countless messages of support. I've had implants for 20 yrs. and am being explanted on July 26th. Woo Hoo! I am so happy for the early surgery date. I've been sick for years, but didn't connect to the implants, as I was told, like many of us they were safe, and would last a lifetime. Mine are the Saline Outer/Silicone Inner ones. I forget the technical name for them. Anyway, read the messages and look up the stories - that'll help too. Guest guest
Patty, I totally agree, it sounds like she needs those toxins out of her body before it will heal. Good luck and keep us posted. Donna
Guest guest
Dearest Liz, You are not alone. I actually have met women who have had over 8 " re-do's " ... until they finally removed them altogether. Both and Sally Kirkland had 5 sets each. The women here have sage advice ... the sooner your body is free of this toxic foreign object, the more quickly you can begin to heal. May God bless and guide you to healthy decisions. Guest guest
Liz, I can only echo what Lea and others have said. Get them out, and get them out properly - by someone who knows what they are doing. I wish I could offer some other suggestion, because more surgeries is not what you want to hear, I'm sure. I just don't think there is any way you will recover as long as you have implants. > > Dearest Liz, > > You are not alone. > > I actually have met women who have had over 8 " re-do's " ... until they > finally removed them altogether.
