Guest guest
Hi After a period of a few weeks feeling reasonably well, I have recently started to feel bad again. It started a couple of weeks ago with a gritty feeling in my eyes, which I attributed to dryness. Then I started to get very tired and dizzy / lightheaded towards the end of the day. Since my period started 4 days ago I have been feeling dizzy and fatigued practically all day long. It's become very hard to function at all and I am due to go on holiday at the end of next week, so I'm desperate to feel better quickly. I am currently taking 45mcg Slow release T3 and 2 grains Armour split into 2 doses as well as 25mg Cortef (split into 4 doses). My basal temperature is 36.4C. Are these symptoms likely to be adrenal or thyroid? Or maybe something else? I started taking a multivitamin several weeks ago (as advised by a nutritionist) that includes 30mg B6 which has caused dizziness / lightheadedness before, but not this terrible fatigue as well. I have stopped taking it to see if there is any improvement. My current theory is that this is a mixture of B6 toxicity and either not enough thyroid meds (which seems unlikely with the amount I'm currently taking) or not enough Cortef so that the thyroid meds aren't being used... Any suggestions gratefully recieved Sally

I have recently done an experiment with T3 meds and found th etime released ones EXTREMELY weak! I actually was tkaing 6.5 grains Armour AND 95MCG of slow relewase T3 and getting very hypo. Now I have some regular T3 in and am only needing 50MCG of it with my Armour to releive hypo symptoms. So based on MY dose.. you could well be quite hypo still. You should do a temperature graph per instructions found at www.drrind.com this will tell you if you are still hypo or if it is adrenals . -- Artistic Grooming * Hurricane, WV My Ebay Jewelry Store http://stores.ebay.com/valeriescrystalcreations The BEST thyroid website! http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
What is your ferritin level Sally? That your symptoms increased during your period says to me that it may be a lack of iron in your body. best, Adria Green Mountain Curlies, Inc.~~~http://greenmountaincurlies.official.ws/ GMC Blog~~~http://greenmountaincurlies.blogspot.com If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you. Guest guest
Hi Val That's very interesting. I initially found SR-T3 very helpful, but it doesn't seem to do much at all now and it costs a fortune! Maybe I should consider changing to Armour... Out of interest, did your SR-T3 come from Medaus Pharmacy (this is the source of mine)? I will try the temperature graph Sally > > it is quite possible you are not taking enough thyroid meds! Guest guest
Hi Adria My ferritin was 28.1 in Dec 2004, then in Feb 06 my iron saturation was down to 17% (20-55). I took iron supplements religiously for 3 months, but have become a bit lax recently, thinking that my levels must have increased. Perhaps I was wrong? I think I'd better get another ferritin test...
