Guest guest
And, face it, plastic surgery is a money maker. Most PS do not accept insurance and get paid in cash. Combine that with their hatred of lawyers, and it is no wonder that they are willfully ignorant on the problems women have with implants. Is it a 'conspiracy'? Probably not. But it is a combination of factors that add up to SLEAZE. > > > > > > The cosmetic surgeons are not conspiring to hide the truth in > > order to gain financially. They don't know........... Guest guest
Amen, Rogene. And this is willful ignorance. Some day I hope there will be a class-tort action against plastic surgeons who turn a blind eye to the dangers. > > Sherry, > > There is a lot of evidence . . . Guest guest
Donna, It really is sad. I think this is probably what happened with the cigarette industry before it was acknowledged that cigarettes caused cancer and all sorts of illnesses. Even with that knowledge, people still smoke, but at least the knowledge is out there!! I do believe that my original PS doesn't believe implants make women sick, because he implanted his own wife after cancer, however I'm thankful for the doctors like Dr. Feng and Dr. Kolb, who have seen too many of us with the same illnesses and have helped us get our lives back. I've been in a bit of a depression lately, and I know that alot of it is because the one year anniversary of getting implants was a few weeks ago, and I realize that it's been a year since I got sick (I got sick a few weeks after getting them). It's been six months since explant. I was always a very positive person, and I've become a bit jaded. I'm hoping to one day get in touch with my inner " Pollyanna " again, but right now she's just fallen out of the big tree (you had to see the movie to know what I mean - but Pollyanna was very positive until she fell out of her aunt's big tree and was paralyzed). Guest guest
Donna, We're all different, and I've only had mine out for six months - so it's kind of hard to use me as an example at this point, because I've had alot of ups and downs. Firstly, I haven't done a stitch of detoxing, because I've had sensitivities to vitamins and supplements, so I'm extremely cautious about trying anything. I just recently visited a holistic practioner and am very slowly starting on a program. She suggested I take Cod Liver Oil, Probiotics, gave me a prescription for Nystatin, suggested I take vitamin B-12 and B complex, and also suggested I take Glutamin, Cysteine, and Lipoic Acid. She wants me to try one new thing per week, so here we go!! I was actually starting to feel better about 2 or 3 months ago, but for the last month have been struggling again. My digestive issues were doing really well, and I didn't need to take digestive enzymes for a few months, but now if I don't take them then I have problems again, so I'm taking them daily. I'm not quite sure what triggered everything, it could be the stress of my new job, I don't know for sure. We all heal differently, some folks get better quickly after having the implants removed, for others it takes longer. I got sick quickly from the implants, and I have the feeling it's going to be a long haul back to health for me, but even so I have no doubts the implants caused this - because I never had any of these symptoms before implants, and within weeks of getting them my body went crazy. Guest guest
Christene, I'm way behind on posts, but I am really happy for you that you have finally figured this out. I guess I had thought you had it cultured before and found out it was a bacterial infection of some sort? What changed? Candida is a huge issue for women with implants, so this is no surprise! What are you going to do for treatment? I apologize if you have already answered this. We just got back and I am trying to catch up! You would think it wouldn't be hard to do but....for Two years my skin has been like this! The funny thing is, this skin fungus only occurs in people with compromised immune systems. Hmmm....I wonder how that happened? Thank you Rogene! You have been the catalyst for me looking further into fungus! Christene Messenger with Voice.
