Those low-carb products can really add some zing to our lives. Several

diabetics, e.g., just don't want ham and eggs for breakfast, so they buy the

zero-carb protein drinks and then doctor them up with artificial sweetener,

vanilla, etc., and that gets their day off to a good start without having to

take a carbohydrate jolt. The low-carb products offer us variety - without

the worry.

For those of you who are on AOL, my friend Rani (she has MS, by the way) is

a very long-term low-carber who is quite the connoisseur, and every week she

offers yummy, clever recipes. She hosts a really fun food chat on AOL every

Thursday night. If you are on AOL, you can email her to be included on the

mailing list. It's a great bunch of people, and the food ideas in there can

help keep you going with this WOL (way of life), and afterward she will

email you the recipes, if you wish. Her email address is ITWNMagic@...
