Guest guest
Thanks Rogene, Ahhhh, a book! Now there's a challenge! Admittedly, it is something I'd like to do someday. Hey, who else talked about writing a book? Sis, was it you? I kinda remember something about that.... And then there was the other woman who had connections in the publishing industry, or journalism?? Do you remember her? I think her name began with a J? But she was going to write too...... It's been a long time since we've heard from some of our group members. I'd love to see alot more exposure on this, and Rogene, your group about the kids is one thing I'd like to see talked about ALOT more. We can't let these little innocent babies suffer....May God help all of us, and may we be used as instruments, mouths, voices, hands, whatever it takes to open the eyes of a blind world to the dangers we've faced! Guest guest
Patty, A number of the ladies have wanted to write a book . . .. was one. However, as you know, when women begin feeling better, they have a lot of catching up to do and soon don't have the time. Hopefully we can raise recognition of the children's problems. The messages I get privately tell me that the problems are more prevalant and severe that one would know by reading the group. The mothers are in a bind. IF they make the implant connections (maybe one percent?), dealing with the children's health issues in combination with their own feelings of guilt is overwhelming. Never mind that women are STILL being told that breast implants will not harm a fetus, or a nursing child. . . . If the manufacturer's are so sure of that, why haven't they done any studies? BTW, I tried detox foot pads last night . . . one from my massage therapist. They didn't appear to turn color as radically as I read that they do. BUT, there was sticky residue on my feet that scrubbing repeatedly with alcohol has ALMOST removed. Silicone? I need to ask my therapist if she experienced the sticky stuff. I checked out her brand on line and don't like what I read - so I'm not recommending it. They don't say what the ingredients are - and are even asking for someone to assemble them. You can't order them directly - you have to go through one of their distributors. All the writing on the packet they are sealed in is in Oriental script. Instead of getting more of these, I'm going to order a sample pack of Acupeds to see what they do. Hugs, Rogene
Guest guest
---Awesome, Patty. I am emailing as well, and encourage as many of us to do the same. Speaking out is definitely the answer. I hear so many people hopeless and saying, " What is my voice worth? It's only me. One person. Add all the " 1 persons " up and it makes alot of people. Keep up the good fight! Safety takes more than one form. You may perform the surgery in a " safe " manner and make it one of your most safe surgeries, but for women like me, implants are anything but safe. This includes saline implants. > > I received saline implants and they produced autoimmune symptoms in me. The " safety " that you talk about does not apply to the risks associated with autoimmune disease. In this case, implants are extremely dangerous. No where in your article do you allude to the tragedy of autoimmune disease or how devastating these diseases can be, even though the manufacturer's inserts describe these risks. > > I was happy with my breast implants until they made me sick. Only after it was too late did I realize just how deceptively these things are marketed. > > It would be much more responsible for you as a plastic surgeon, and the plastic surgery field in general, to acknowledge that some women do become ill from implants. While not all women get sick from implants, some do, and this fact should not be denied. I see women on the Salinesupport group every day who are sick with the same type of symptoms--young women in their teens and 20's who are suddenly sick or young women who have had implants for 5 or more years who develop rheumatic symptoms uncharacteristic for their age. Many more women come who have had implants for a decade and are in a state of disability, desperate for help. > > I know what the studies claim. But let me ask you this....if you did a study to see if people died from bee stings, what would it show? If you did a study to see if people reacted acutely to shellfish or tuna, would you see the results that we know to be true? I doubt that there is a large number of people who die from bee stings, but there is a certain subgroup in the population who do react tragically to bee stings or shellfish or certain drugs or any of a number of different things and it is a real, valid response that negatively affects their health. Why is it so impossible to believe this occurs from implants as well? > > To ignore the truth about breast implants causing some women devastating health issues is irresponsible. Doctors take an oath to First, do no harm. Plastic surgeons are failing this oath--they do harm when they insert breast implants into a woman who is going to react, and the harm is multiplied when other doctors tell her that implants aren't causing her disease. > > I see women on the Salinesupport group who are getting better once their implants are removed. I see women whose blood work, showing autoimmune responses, gets better and goes from abnormal to normal after breast implant removal. Implants cause SOME women in the population to get sick. The responsible thing to do is to find a way to ensure safety for the women who are going to receive the implants, and if they at risk for autoimmune disease, counsel against them. You should not assume that NO ONE is getting sick from implants, when in fact, women are. > > The onus is on you as professionals to First, Do No Harm, and determine safety for ALL of your patients. By ignoring the true risks, you live in a fantasy world of your own creation, believing that breast implants are a miraculous invention for women, when in fact, they are deceptive devices that can suck the joy out of life through devastating illness and leave a path of devastation in its wake. I know what I'm talking about, because I and thousands like me have experienced just that. The truth is a different picture than you have painted. > glory2glory1401@... > > > --------------------------------- > Messenger with Voice.
