Guest guest
Its your implants sad to say...depending on your insurance some will cover to take them out IF it's due to pain. My hair started by breaking off now its falling out, I have muscle and joint aches, kidney infections, blurred vision, bad headaches, and memory loss...I've only had my implants 2 1/2 years and they are saline. I havent been myself. My chest is so sore I cant lift my arms some days.I dont have the money to have these ****** things taken out. They are making my very depressed, I dont know what to do. I actually just stumbled on to this about 2 days ago, i never knew that so many women have had the same symtoms. :[ nicole_trudeau2000
Guest guest
Hi , We're just the tip of the iceburg, unfortunately, there are a number of support sites and I'm sure there are plenty of women sick from implants who are told it's not the implants, and believe what they're told. The symptoms are just too common in us for it to be a coincidence. I know some women on this site had high ANA levels (which is something that shows up with Lupus, I believe), and after having their implants removed the ANA returned to normal. Not saying that happens in every case, but it's certainly something to think about. I think we've all been in the same boat financially as well. I think the plastic surgeons should tell us to make sure we have several thousand set aside for future surgeries, because even for those who don't get sick from the implants, eventually more surgery is down the road - either from capsular contracture or rupture. Your health is more important than money, though, and I'm in debt up the wazoo because of my implants. In one year's time they cost me about $14,000 alone in surgery, but much more in all the medical tests I've had run, doctor bills, physical therapy I've had, psychotherapy, prescriptions, etc. I'm still paying off the credit card that I used to charge the implants, and you know every month when I send that payment in I cringe. I had my implants for six months and that was long enough for me - I got sick quickly, bone pain, swelling joints, anxiety, fatigue, hearing loss, neck pain, swollen lymph nodes, digestive problems, brain fog, daily migranes, sudden high blood pressure which strangely went back to normal after explant. I had mine removed by Dr. Feng in Cleveland, and I live in New Jersey. She did a great job, I look almost like I did before, and the scars in the crease but they're nice and smooth, and not noticable unless I raise my arms over my head, and as I've said many times on this site - it's not as if I'm out in public nude waving my arms up in the air. I'm glad you found us. Guest guest
Dr. Feng DOES believe implants make you sick, and yes, she did the en bloc procedure. Dr. Feng doesn't use the same protocol that Dr. Kolb does. Dr. Feng believes the chemicals in the implants make us sick, so she did not test for mold. I'm only six months explant, so I'm still on the mend. Brain fog went away, blood pressure went back to normal, but the other stuff is just going to take time. Yes, I had saline. Guest guest
Terri, Thanks for sharing your story. I'm also new to this board, but have already seen many women come across this group while they are researching whether or not they want breast implants. So, it does help others to share your story. Guest guest
Terri, There have been quite a few women who have expressed a desire to write a book. I did an interview a long time ago for a woman named Jamey Lacey who wanted to title her book, "Dying for Cleavage". I never did see that one come to fruition. Some women have written books that were self-published. One was "Breast Implants, From Hell to Healing," by Donna Townes, another was "Betrayed" by Gloria Bywalec. Still another was "Torn Illusions" by Pamela Stott-Kendall. But these were all almost a decade ago. We need some fresh voices published. Kacey Long (at www.implantsout.com) was going to publish a book, and I think we've had several other writers want to give it a go. But so far, no sign of one! If you have a desire, go for it! I am sure you have quite a story to tell. Patty Peake <peaketeresa@...> wrote: --- Patty, you are right he said he didn't have any pictures because I asked, He actually put in my report that I had silicone hysteria, his office is exactly as you said they have implants in baskets all over the place. The way he described the research made me think it was a good thing but actually it is siding with the makers of implants. He shows a video at his consult instead of actually doing it himself but the video does say that implants do not last a lifetime that they need to be replaced every ten years. I think they make them sign a kind of waiver now so they cant sue later on.Anyway all the ladies here are great. When I started going on the web for the first time I searched silicone posion and freaked out. I was so freaked out I wanted to claw them right out of my chest. You seem so calm. Thank you for listening and responding so favorable. I actually was thinking of writing a book called, "Dying to be Beautiful" because I had my implants to lift my large breasts just to be in Penthouse. How greedy that was God gave me what so many women want but that wasn't enough. I had to go and mess that up just to acquire something that men want. Well I am older and wiser and I want to save anbody and everybody from that twisted thinking. Women are beutiful in all shapes and sizes.Tpeake> > > . Music Unlimited - Access over 1 million songs. Guest guest
Terri, I'm going to send you an invitation to SiliconeKids . . . There's not much discussion . . But there are huge problems! . . . I've been collecting messages there that may provide clues/help for kids for some time. From what I'm seeing, the best therapy for the kids is to get them on a very strict, wholesome diet . . . no processed foods, no sugar, and no silicone products. Did they suffer any consequences of implants? ~ married to DH Mark, and sharing the lives of nine busy children. <3 <3 Saline Implants Hello everyone,I had my implants removed one year ago. My saline implants were put in in 1985. I started getting sick when my daughter was newborn in 1997. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. After going to 26 different doctors and hospitals I saw a news story about saline implants making women sick. I couldn't believe that thousands of women had the same illness and also had implants/ I knew it couldn't be a coincidence. I was 9 years into my sickness and seeing a neurologist for memory problems. I couldn't remember what I was doing moment to moment.I had been working with my illness until I could no longer work. I was making 40,000 a year in my profession that I loved.By this time I had been on pain killers for 9 years as well as hip injections and coccix epederals and numerous other intense treatments and physciatric care. I was passing out and dizzy all the time. I contacted anyone who would listen in my family about the connection to the implants and no one believed me. My best friend came through and paid for my surgery. I was told saline would last a lifetime and if you had any problems your body would absorb the saline. Never did I know that the outer shell of all implants is silicone. My pathology report was positive for silicone in the breast tissue as well as the capsular contraction. Which by the way I told my surgeon about in 1986 he manual tried to pop it by getting on top of me and pressing with both hands and his whole body. Any way I have submitted all 9 years worth of records and I am waiting for settlement as I am now on welfare. I could no longer take care of myself or children. My ex-husband of 4 years said to come home. After my explant surgery That is what I did I left Las Vegas and moved back to Hawaii to recuperate. I feel much better I can now remember things and I took myself off all medications. I am required by the state to still see doctors regulary but I know they don't really believe any of this is caused by 20 year old implants. I don't care I don't need them to tell me anything anymore. I know and that is enough for me. If anyone out there is considering implants look at the chemical list that has all the ingredients listed in saline implant shells. It will make you sick just looking at it. Anyone not sure how you will look after explant don't worry your own breast tissue fills back in over time. My breasts are full and beautiful scars ans all. You see I had size dd brests when I was 25 but they had sagged. Penthouse magazine advanced me 5 grand to have saline so they would be perky. I was 1987 oct Penthouse centerfold. I was told my breasts would be scarred if I had the implants removed I might have to have a double maesectomy. I was so afraid. But it was not true. The doctor went in the same scar along the nipple and removed the 20 year old saline implants. I felt better right away knowing that toxic soup was gone and I would have a chance to get better. You can too. Don't be afraid borrow the money if you have too. It has been one year and I am well on my way. Guest guest
Terri, That is so sad about your kids. It makes me so upset that there are so many kids out there born to mothers who had implants, have some health concerns that can affect their ability to succeed in life, and nobody is studying them!!!!!! It's just plain wrong...this knowledge about possible harm to our kids needs to get prompt and fast action. Rogene's silicone kids group is a valuable support group, yet I think this subject is so delicate and difficult that it is hard for anyone to talk about. Which is exactly why it needs immediate attention! I know another lady here in Las Vegas (and I am sure there are many more that I don't know about) that are in the same boat as you with her son. He is 16 years old, and she had to take him out of school a couple of years ago because he just could not concentrate on his work; he had terrible brain fog issues. He also has terrible rage issues. She has taken him all over this country to find something to help him, but her successes have been hard won, and the progress is slow. He has been out of school for a couple years now. You have to wonder where this will all end up? These poor kids, especially the guys, have to be able to make it in this world! It sounds like you have a good plan for your son. I wish you all the best. Please stay in touch with all of us....did you join Rogene's group too? Patty Peake <peaketeresa@...> wrote: >> Terri,> What kinds of problems are your kids having?> Patty> Patty,Both kids had problems breast feeding, Ernest who is now 16 he has had depression problems with school suicide threats he flunked 9th grade twice and now has to go to youth challenge that is funded here in hawaii by the national guard,he will earn his diploma while there but it is also very strict they live there for 5 months sort of boot camp. He also gets these cyst like bumps in side his ear, sinus infections ear infections. He has had his sinus infection all of his life. My daughter Lilia is 9 she was born with sleep apnea and had to have tonsils and adnoids removed at 3 years old. She has trouble concentrating mood swings and some kind of skin rashes that look like bites that scar and don't go away. I axtually had to use a breast pump with her but could not get enough for her and put her on formula. She also has a drip in her nose all the time like a cold. This stuff with the kids really just hit me recently and hadn't connected it so I am now going to have to investigate further. My anesthesia wore off during the c-section and they had to stop. All three of us seem to have a high tolerance to pain meds. It takes alot to numb us to perform surgeries or broken bones that they both have had,Thanks again for your care and concern this site is really inspiring me.Love Terri Messages in this topic (39) Reply (via web post) | Start a new topic . This causes ulcers . . . treatment is extended antibiotics that throw various organisms off balance . .. But, if you have to treat it, you have to treat it. Just keep taking those protiotics. Are you staying tan, even though your're not getting outside? . . . MSH test can explain that . . . Nystatin is for systemic fungal/yeast/Candida . . . Drink plenty of water while you're taking it . . . Follow an antifungal diet. NO sugar, refined grains, processed foods. That will give it a chance to do it's job.I'm glad to hear you're getting some help! Hopefully you'll begin feeling much better soon! Hugs and prayer Rogene Rogene, > Help !!! Dr. Vojdani is a sweetheart, and has been so helpful with educating women in the past about implant problems. I just love this man.
