Guest guest
Sis, I totally agree that implants are highly over rated. I am happy with them gone, knowing what they were doing to me. Thank God they are gone, hopefully we heal soon. Donna
Guest guest
, My MSH was a very low 8, nobody tested me for this besides Dr. Kolb. I was having no luck with doctors in my area. How did you find Dr. Kolb? Thank God you found her. Donna
Guest guest
Donna, I had heard of Dr. Kolb MANY years ago b/c she removed my mother's implants during the silicone class action case. In addition, I had done a lot of on-line research. The only dr's name that kept coming up was Dr. Kolb's. Everyone seemed to ALWAYS be speaking very highly of her, so I emailed her, AND gave her a call! She was soooo helpful, without even KNOWING me, or me PAYING her! She basically spent well over 30 min's on the phone with me, going over info and telling me what tests to have taken. I had a general physician here in LA, and she was willing to have the blood work taken, that dr. Kolb recommended...since she, herself, was stumped. That's how I found out about my MSH. I then called dr. kolb with my results, and she gave me her advise. And here I am... =) On 6/10/06, BSBanshee1@... <BSBanshee1@...> wrote: , My MSH was a very low 8, nobody tested me for this besides Dr. Kolb. I was having no luck with doctors in my area. Guest guest
, I don't know. I bought mine for $600.00. It works great is portable and is easy to set up. It's made by Arizona Sauna. You can buy it on the web I think. I bought mine through my doctor. Wait until your not so sick and weak before using it. Even though it's much easier on your system and more effective than a regular sauna you need to be stronger. I haven't gotten back into mine yet since I've been home. Love, Penni Re: one more thing ,I'm having trouble finding a place that uses IR Sauna's, too, although I'm in New Jersey. Not a good time to go purchase one of my own, and the gyms all have regular sauna's.Sis> >> > Penni,> >> > I think you'll feel much better after you use your> > sauna . . . Guest guest
Dr, Kolb has you take inositol. Inositol pulls the silicone out of your body via your urine. Penni Re: one more thing Racehelummm If the silicon was in that lymph node...did Dr. Kolb think it was in your entire lymph system? What did Dr. Kolb give you to get rid of the silicon....or does she think the supplements and the detoxing will help your own body to get rid of it? Is there anything that we can take...to bind to the silicone? I mean...isn't it basically inert therefore not chemically active???? Anyone????? Guest guest
, If you're in tune with your body, I think you'll know when to use a sauna, and how long to use it for. No one can tell you what your experience will be. The heat is generated by infrared lights . . . The light penetrates the tissues up to two inches and triggers the body's defense mechanisms . . . i.e. similar to a fever - sending healing energy to the areas treated. Perspiration from far infrared heat has a very different composition than regular sweat . . . far more toxins, cholesterol, etc. The information on the sauna websites can explain this better than I can. If heat bothers one, (and if you're really toxic, it probably will), you can open the door on a walk-in sauna, or keep the temperature low on a portable sauna. The goal is to be able to tolerate the higher temperatures so you can sweat . . . But you may need to ease into that. Far infrared light is therapeutic in itself . . . even without the heat. The thing you must guard against is allowing your heart rate to increase too much . . . You'll know quickly if it begins to speed up too much. The son of one of our members converted a closet into a walk-in sauna for a very low cost! . . . The considerations are a place to sit, temperature/time control, ventilation and a light. . . . A magazine rack and radio/CD are nice additions. Do keep the electronic controls OUTSIDE the unit - put the speakers inside. If you have a lot of toxins, you can expect to herx. There's an old book " Clear Body, Clear Mind " by L.Ron Hubbard (the Scientology guy) . . . I don't agree with his religious ideas - but I think he's right on when it comes to detoxing via a sauna. The Scientologists have established detox centers across the country using infrared saunas. Part of their program is a vitamin and supplement program . . . If you're interested, I really suggest that you read the book and investigate thoroughly before starting the program. I tried the program by myself using the hot tub. . . If you're going all out (like I did), I'd recommend having someone on hand to monitor you because you can reach a level where you really can't make good judgments for yourself. Looking back, I can see where sweat detoxing made a huge difference for me! . . . If I were to do it over, I would get better organized and do it the right way - with someone monitoring my progress. Hugs, Rogene

Guest guest
Hi , Check out Miracle Heat in Oklahoma. I paid around $3000 for a 3-man unit. The units are handmade in Oklahoma and are made of poplar and another wood, can't remember which. The heater I got is ceramic. My doc recommends cedar not be used because it out gasses. I ordered a unit from Miracle Heat on Friday and should have it in two weeks. Shipping is free and they were offering all kinds of free things last week. Guest guest
Yes, my husband wants to lay down and thought it was worth the extra $300 to be able to. Miracle Heat was at our local home and garden show. I was impressed not only with their equipment but the people that worked for the company as well. There were two other companies there but neither was as thorough in explaining their product as Miracle Heat, plus we didn't care for their FIRS as much. I want it for detoxing, my husband would like it for body pain and weight loss. He got to sit in one for a few minutes and really enjoyed the deep heat. Guest guest
Hi, Penni! I just purchased one today! It is also a one-seater portable unit. I got it on ebay for $140 (b4 shipping costs). I'm hoping I'll like it! Also, I went to Whole Foods tonight and purchased all of the ingredients for the smoothie!!! I'm going to have one for breakfast! =) How are you feeling? Guest guest
Donna, Thank you so much! You're such a sweetie! =) I hope that you're feeling a little better? The recipe for the smoothie is as follows: Berry Smoothie by Jordan Rubin but adapted by Penni Pitre 4 ounces Organic Strauss Whole Milk Yogurt 4 ounces of Natural Redwood Hill Farm Whole Milk Goat Yogurt 4 ounces of Organic Coconut Milk 1 or more Raw High Omega 3 Whole Eggs (I wash my egg off in Hydrogen Peroxide first and than rinse) 1 Tablespoon of Extra Virgin Coconut Oil 1 Tablespoon of Flax Seed Oil 2 teaspoons of unheated Organic Honey ( You can use Stevia or Agave Nectar which have 0 glycemic index) 1 or 2 Tablespoons of Perfect Food 1 Scoop of Super Seed 1 teaspoon of Organic Vanilla 1/2 cup of Organic Cherries, or Strawberries or Blueberries Place ingredients in blender and blend. I usually have to stop and scrap the side's of the blender to make sure it is blended in well. Now if you want to gain weight or want extra protein you can add 1 Tablespoon Goat's Milk Protein Powder. All of the above products can be purchased at Whole Foods. Hope you enjoy!!! =) On 6/11/06, BSBanshee1@... < BSBanshee1@...> wrote: , Smoothies, I want one. LOL Penni I would also love that recipe for smoothies. Guest guest
, That sounds great! Just remember to take it slowly. My doctor started me out on 10 minutes for a couple of days than went to 20 for a couple more and than 30. I usually can't stay in longer than 40 minutes but that was before explant so when I start up again it will be interesting to see what happens. Just make sure that you drink a glass of water before you get in and than again after. With your fragile system I would also recommend that you drink a glass of emergency. It comes in packets at Whole Foods and it will replace any lost electrolytes. Their are other drinks out their too like Recharge etc. I place a towel on the floor of my sauna and on the seat. When you come out towel dry immediately. In fact I sit in my sauna with it unzipped and towel dry off. You don't want to air dry as then the toxins are being reabsorbed back into your skin. Enjoy that smoothie tomorrow. I'll be thinking of you when I have mine. Today has been a good day. Left shoulder same story so I took a pain pill a couple of hours ago. We went to church today and it was great. I took a nap and pretty much did nothing today. I'm really trying to learn to honor God by making Sunday a true Sabbath day. Are you starting work tomorrow? Been thinking of you. Tom was flattered by your compliment!!!! He is young looking to me too!!!! Love you! Guest guest
Penni, Thanks so much for the advise! I had NO IDEA that the toxins could be re-absorbed! I'm soooo glad that you told me! =) Yeah, I was already planning on taking Emergency! I have two boxes sitting on my kitchen counter! I've been using that stuff for years! ...Love it! I just purchased a product called " Lyte Sol " from Dr. Kolb. It's very similar to Emergency, but a lot more potent. It should be here by the end of the week... hopefully just in time for my Sauna! =) I have no idea when that should be delivered...? Man, I'm so bothered that your shoulder is in so much pain! Why do you think that is? I agree about the whole " Sunday/Sabbeth " thing. I wanted to go to church today, but had so much to do to get prepared to get back to work.... Yep, I start back tomorrow! I'm a little nervous about it! My job is so demanding... emotionally, mentally, and physically. I'm praying to GOD that my energy levels will shoot up, and that my shakiness decreases dramatically! I'm glad that Tom was flattered from my compliment! It's true, though! lol! Well, I hope that you continue to get a lot of rest... and FEEL BETTER!!! =) I'll probably be going to be really soon... and dreaming of my " smoothie breakfast " tomorrow! - On 6/11/06, Penni Pitre <penniquilts@...> wrote: , That sounds great! Love you! Guest guest
, When you receive the Lyte Sol from Dr. Kolb would you email what the ingredients are? We are always looking for something that Tom can drink that won't bother his esophagus. Dr. Sherry 's gets the credit on the toweling off right away. I would highly recommend her book "Detoxify or Die" (I hate the title) but it's an excellent book and she has long chapters on the FIR sauna. We use her book a lot for ideas on how to detox. I pray that you are doing okay today at work. I wish you didn't have to go back so soon. My left frozen shoulder was caused by the infection in my left breast that had started back in 2004. Dr. Kolb thinks it came from the infection and from scar tissue. I see a Rheumatologist on Thursday so I'm going to see him first and see who he recommends for physical therapy. I really want to work on my arm so that I can hold my precious new grandson!!! You are in my prayers. May God give you peace, energy and the rest of the Holy Spirit fall on you today! Love, Penni Re: one more thing > > > ,> > I'm having trouble finding a place that uses IR Sauna's, too, > although I'm in New Jersey. Guest guest
, Apparently the body does eliminate silicone - however slowly! . . . They've found silicone in implanted women's urine . . . It peaks at the time of explant . . . However, it can be spread far and wide, doing no telling how much damage! . . . That's one reason I'm amazed that, twelve years after explant (leaking but not ruptured), that the foot pads may pulling silicone out of my body! Some women have experienced sparkling urine . . . another one (Kathy?) who used the clay baths, saw sparkly stuff left behind when the material dried. My daughter (occupational therapist) noticed early on that adjacent joints/bone of people who received silicone joint replacements began deteriorating soon after getting their implants. . . and that some of them began deteriorating mentally soon after surgery as well. Guest guest
its great. I sweat tons more in it then I did at the gym. I don't use it as much as I should. Asit turns out, the whole "out of sight, out of mind" really is true. I just forget. My husband usually has to call me and remind me. Then I have to get it out of storage. Which it is easier to find more important things to do. This is just something I have to work on. glory2glory1401 <glory2glory1401@...> wrote: ,How do you like your sauna? Guest guest
.. .The memory thing is part of implant illness . . . One I still have problems with . . problem is that I don't know when I'm having a problem! . .. One trick I use is to put something in plain sight that serves as a reminder. . . If it was me, I'd lay a (clean) hand towel in some place where I couldn't miss seeing it. Rogene
