I had the lift with Dr. Kolb and you are describing some things I have still. I think we need time to heal. It takes a good 3 months to fluff I been hearing. Dr. Kolb's office said, two months to even start to fluff. Did you do areola? I did and that takes time girl, don't panic. It does look freaky at first. Was that your hubby with you in Atlanta? I brought my boyfriend with me but drove myself to her office for the pre-op visit. I think you will be ok in time don't give up and by the sound of things you did wonderful, getting those toxic bags out of you. Thank God we are alive and here. I think these things would have killed us all in time. NO doubt in my mind. Write back .

I had them for close to 9 years.

No, my symptoms have not gone away... but I explanted only 3 weeks ago! Dr. Kolb says to just be patient and see how things play out in time. I'm on an anti-fungal, supplements to detox, and a nutrition program... and LOTS of prayer! ;)

I am from Ohio about 45 minutes north of Cincinnati. I could tell he was truly concerned for you, I would keep him that's for sure. The fluff thing you don't need a lift for it. When we have implants, then get the explant like we got. They look flat and wide, after 2 or 3 months they are suppose to fluff, as get bigger and better looking. California, wow amazing!!! Dr. Kolb is wonderful and thank god you had family there. We stayed in a hotel about 2 minutes up the road. I am glad you have a wonderful friend going through this night mare. Thank God there gone and keep the faith , some day we might get better, there is hope. A lot of the women in our shoes do get better after some time and detox. Keep hoping and praying for this, that is what makes me survive day to day.

I truly believe that, as well! =)

I think I may have to have surgery, again, over my Christmas break. at the time of surgery, dr. kolb didn't think that i needed a mastopexy. I had already paid for it, so she reimbursed me. However; after the surgery, it's looking like I'm going to need one after all. there is a slight disfigurement... =(

I'm praying that God will miraculously heal that as well. I REALLY don't want to have any more surgeries!

You will need to feel much better and build up your immunity before you have another surgery. Are you sure you look that bad???

You know your a beautiful woman and any man that hooks up with you won't notice or care about your breasts. It's the inside that counts.

I'm a breast cancer survivor. I now have about 5% left of breast tissue left on both sides. Tom said he doesn't care because it's not my breasts that make me.

Hope this is not TMI but sex has been better and I've even had a little bit of feeling come back to my chest as I had none with my implants.

I had thought that I might go back and have Dr. Most do a flap method on me to build up some breasts but right now I don't think I will.

Penni,

Thanks for your encouragement! I understand that my breasts don't make me... but I don't want to look disfigured, either!I have EXTREMELY small breasts... I don't even fill an A cup. However; I'm embracing that! Weird as it is, I'm actually LOVING my super flat chest! In the same breath, I'd like to look SOMEWHAT normal, nude!

My left breast is looking pretty darn good... but the skin on my right side won't tighten back up... the skin below my breast is still very loose... creating a fold about 1 1/2 inches lower than the fold on my left breast... plus, my nipples are wrinkling. it's very odd. Dr. Kolb said that a breast lift would have fixed it, but she wants me to wait at least 6 months. I agree...

I'm just praying that it won't be necessary at all!!!

Donna,

What exactly do you mean by " fluff " ? I never had the lift done. I was supposed to, but dr. Kolb didn't think i needed it. I'm waiting for another 6 months before i make my decision to have it done or not.

No, that was not my hubby! ;) Maybe one day though, you never know! Funny thing is, we have been best friends for almost 10 years and it wasn't until recently that we both developed " more than friendly " feelings towards one another! So, we're trying the " dating thing " . It's actually been soooo nice! He's such a doll! I care about him so much, and it's so incredibly amazing to have a true bond of friendship before the physical intimacy. It makes things so much more genuine... and intense! I'm looking forward to seeing what comes of this! =)

Where did you and your boyfriend drive from? I'm out in Sherman Oaks, California. I have family in GA, so it was PERFECT that Dr. Kolb is there!

Well, thanks for your words of encouragement! They mean more than you know!

Keep me posted on how you're feeling!

. . . Think of fluffing as you would of what

happens when you sit on a pillow, then get off. . .

Gradually, you should fill out. It can be as long as a

year before what you see is what you get . . . Usually

about six months though.

I'm praying so, Rogene! Although, the flatness isn't my greatest concern. I'm more bothered by my skin " puffing out " where it should be tight. I'm having a difficult time trying to explain it...

You know the skin UNDER your breast fold? How it's fitted TIGHT? Well, the skin on my right doesn't really have a FOLD. It looks like an elongated breast. My left side looks normal, though.

I'm praying it will tighten over time... =(
