It sounds to me like your BIL has Multiple Chemical Sensitivies. I have had this problem for 26 years and it requires a big lifestyle change. As sick as he is I would start out on something very mild to detox such as a detox kit that Heel makes. I believe it has 3 or 4 bottles of different homeopathic remedies that you can add to water and than sip on all day. It's harmless and I don't even remember getting a headache from it but it is a starting point. I'm not sure where your BIL lives but Dr. Sherry is the expert on MCS. She lives and practices in NY. Otherwise I would recommend that your BIL go to see Dr. Rea in Dallas, Texas.

My other suggestions for you and your BIL would be to buy Sherry book "Detoxify or Die". She has several books out but this book goes into detail about detox cocktails and the infra-red sauna. Another book that I would HIGHLY recommend for you and especially for your BIL is "Our Toxic World" by Doris Rapp. Not only is it informative but has many many references as to where you can get help.

Also I have done coffee enemas for years. I make 1 cup of STRONG organic coffee made with distilled water. I dilute this to 2 cups of distilled water. When I do enemas I do them this way. First I do just a warm water enema about 4 cups of water. I lay on my right side and insert the water. After I take out the applicator I turn on my timer beside me for 5 minutes. I massage my stomach on my right side and then on my back and then over on my left side than back to the middle with my but lifted up in the air. Than I turn back over on my right side and wait until the timer goes off. I then go to the bathroom. Next I put the above coffee mixture into the bag making sure that it is warm as I can take it. Repeat the process as above rolling over on each side. Wait out the 5 minutes and then go to the bathroom. Then I do one more clear distilled water enema using about 5 cups of water. I do this because if it is late in the day the coffee enema will keep me awake or will sometimes cause cramping. Sometimes I do even another clear water one until I can get the water fairly clear when I empty out. I know this is sort of gross but this is how my Doctor in Tucson taught me how to do it years ago when I spent a month at a Chronic Fatigue Clinic.

Oh, if you don't own an enema bag you can get one at Walgreen's etc. However, the rubber will stink. I would rinse it out with hot water first before I use it and then after you use it set it out in the garage to out gas. After a while you will be able to store it in your bathroom.

LOL I hear you this brain fog is horrible and my vision out of my right eye it like way bad really. Penni I was going to ask you about Tom, when he got the bio-toxin. My brother -in-Law is very sick right now, he has a lot of the same symptoms that I have and more. He worked at this chemical company and worked with chemicals he said, almost made him faint on a daily basis handling it. He wore no mask at all. He worked there for 3 years. SO time has went on and now 3 years later he is very sick right now he just got out of the hospital. Do you think there may be a link to his sickness maybe Bio-Toxin disease from chemicals he breathed in. Before the chemical company he did asbestos removal, then the chemicals, then he painted and worked at another job, which was a chemical. I wonder because we share almost all of the same symptoms, could he have gotten this and it just catch up with him from over the years exposures to chemical, paints, etc. He just got out of the hospital and they did all the test, its mysterious, nothing. He is like us all feels like He is gonna die he has a perfect match of my symptoms and some of his own. The hospital Dr.s found a lesion on his brain, they finally after a week of not knowing what it was said he had diverticulitis, I checked the symptoms for this and he doesn't even have any of the symptoms. I am worried about him and wondered if you could tell me what kind of DR. your husband Tom seen when he discovered he had bio-toxins. It don't sound good for him, his colon is infected and the doctor's are wanting to operate and cut some of his intestines, etc. It is weird because he has the mysterious rash and all.
