I am from Texas, but I am misplaced due to hubby being in the Army. He is ready

to retire and he wants to stay in Alabama, where we are right now, but I want to

go home. I was born in Waco but raised in ville and my parents still live

there. Its 65 miles sw of Ft. Worth. My daughter and son in law live in Killeen,

where he is stationed (Army too), but he just left on his 4th tour overseas and

this time its Afghanistan....they got married in 2003 and he has been on all

these tours, once with my hubby. We don''t have any grandkids yet, but we have a

grandcat.....oh well, they are'nt ready yet anyhow.

Just wanted to talk to ya'll thanks for listening...

I live in Mineral Wells and I used to work in ville. Small world, huh? I

can't blame you for wanting to come back to Texas. I lived in Louisiana many

years ago and didn't like it much.

Hi Rita,

Thats kinda neat. Where did u work in ville? I worked at Sonic as a teen

and a nursing home from1980-1985. After that, I did home health care and also

worked at Golden Corral...when it used to be open!!

I am a nurse. I worked at Summer Sky, an alcohol and drug treatment facility. I

still have friends that live there and in Comanche. I grew up down in central

Texas in the small town of San Saba.

We sure do need to get together. Gas prices are so high right now but they seem

to be coming down a bit. Since I am on disability I don't have much extra money

to put in the gas tank. I get over that direction occasionally. My brother and

his wife just had a new baby, my first nephew, so I will probably get over there

more often. They live in Carrollton. Maybe sometime we could go to lunch when I

go over to visit them. It would be great to actually see people that understand

chronic pain.

I understand how you feel,Rita. How are you working and collecting disability?

My docs and the judge didnt want me to work..I am not supposed to lift more than

10 pounds,and now I have these 7 bulging discs on top of that...anyway, I'll be

glad to see ya when youre over this way..Vicki

Actually I'm no longer in TX, but come to visit as often as I can. My step-mom

lives there, along with a bunch of my relatives. My dad died about 3 yrs ago,

and I haven't been able to come home since. I'm in Wisc with my hubby and all

kids and one beautiful granddaughter. I grew up in Ponder, which is just west of
