Guest guest
Dawn, I had Saline got them removed 3 weeks ago by Dr. Kolb in Atlanta. I had the same thing except it was on my right side. She told me that I was infected when he put the implants in because I was sick from 3 weeks post-op. When she did my surgery she found that the right one was leaking and had a big piece of body tissue in the port. She also said, it was infected and I know have bio-toxin disease from mold. She sent my implants to Canada for test. I would not recommend going back to a doctor who may have infected you. There is a girl on here by the name of who used the same doctor as I did. She had the heart problem like you did and Dr. Kolb said, this is why some women go into cardiac arrest when getting them out. You sound like most of us women on this site. I only had my implant for a little over a year and had 33 symptoms when I got them removed. I would go to an expert, because even after removal and en-bloc is needed to get well someday. You will have to detox your body to get the bio-toxin out of you. I don't take this lightly so personally I would run from my old PS, they like to take them out to cover up any mistakes they made when inserting the implants. If I had used my PS do you think I would know the truth right now? I would say no, he will never discredit himself. My breast were also hard as rocks and I found out that I had a capsular contracture grade III. Something else he failed to tell me, he said your breast are soft, I said, hard. I pray you get them out soon, but be careful. You don't want to go through more surgery when he does not do enbloc procedure nor gives you the medicine you are in need of to heal. I was prescribed thyroid medicine, diflucan, cipro, and about 6 or so herbals for detox. I also asked Dr. Kolb what test to take to see if implants, before my removal. She said, MSH test and VCS test if you fail them then usually implant related if no mold is growing in your house. Hope to help you and please keep us informed. Guest guest
Dawn, I just wanted to add, that all the symptoms you are describing. You are sick from implants. Do you have brain fog, can't remember much anymore? Loss of balance? I have all the symptoms you described minus the heart. I did get that but not that often. Dr. Kolb said, because my infection was on right side not left. Be careful with this and Yes do en-bloc you may never get well if you don't. There is women on here who just got removal who did not get well, you don't want two surgeries. Where were your incisions at? Donna
Guest guest
Thanks Donna, I had areolar incisions. I barely scar -- you can't even tell there were incisions unless your eyes are three inches away from my breast. Anyway, after the very nice replies I have received from you wonderful women, and after researching some insurance stuff, I did some thinking. Although I like my PS, I am wondering if he purposefully did not admit there was capsular contracture in my left breast so he would not be liable for free redo, or anything like that. I said I want them out and he said, " Great! Let's do it! " Very cheerfully. His assistant came back in with fees ( which total $4100). I looked up Baker III contracture, and it seems as if I may have it. The left one now hurts even when I am just sitting around. Plus it points down. Not badly, but it's there. Pain down the chest, into my armpit. Plus I am sick with all kinds of stuff lately -- not just a cold -- it ends up being a two week cold, with joint pain, full laryngitis. Not just a flu - like my kids had, but so violent a one that I actually shat myself (in bed!!! in my sleep!!!) and passed out in the bathroom in a pool of poo -- splitting my lip and knocking a tooth loose. I can go before medical review with my insurance (AETNA)if someone says I have a Baker III. Then insurance will pay to have them removed, and DR. HOLLIS CAFEE, in Gainesville, FL, accepts my insurance. The explantation site says about Dr. Caffee: * In all probability, he will not admit anything is wrong with breast implants. However, reports are he will remove the implants " en bloc " and a total capsulectomy. (So there can be no misunderstanding plus send him " en bloc " request in a certified letter, stating that you feel this is imperative! If possible, get his written consent to do " en bloc " and total capsulectomy ) Here are my questions: Does anyone know if he is good to go to? Haw long does an average insurance medical review for approval take? Anyone been through that? How do I get a Baker III diagnosed? You guys are really kind to help. Thank you so much. > > Dawn, > > I had Saline got them removed 3 weeks ago by Dr. Kolb in Atlanta. I had the > same thing except it was on my right side. Guest guest
Dawn, I do know that Dr. Kolb will fight for your insurance to go through. E-mail her and she will let you know. I bet you are right about that PS of yours. It won't cost much more to get the en-bloc and the truth. You sound like you have the implant sickness and infection for sure. Get good care that way you don't need to keep messing around getting more surgery's in the future. My old PS messed me up once I be damn if he was gonna mess with me twice. I was in very good hand with Dr. Kolb, don't regret it and I would have drove where ever to get good treatment. It got old getting the doctor run around. I also experienced flu like symptoms non stop and sinus infections that would not go away. I am getting better, I need more time to detox, I am 3 weeks post op.
