Guest guest
kelly, don't you dare ever feel you have to ask us to bear with you! every member of this PSC support group (even those like you and i who do not ourselves have PSC) is an honorary member of what is essentially a " family, " so you go ahead, dear, and write whatever you need to write at us -- anytime. day or night, who knows which of us will be here to get back to you, ASAP. with my frequent insomnia, it just might be me, but ah, the wonders of a " global " support group! burnout can be so hard, so wearisome. even the " slight " lows can sometimes overwhelm us. my heart goes out to you, and i will be praying for energy for you, health for brian (especially for a hedge of protection for him this monday), for your dad (who will be suffering in his own way with all your mom will have to endure) and especially for your special lil sweetiepie of a momma. kind regards, and may today be a better day than yesterday. maureen
Guest guest
one of the men I work with went through the same thing and they opted to do the bypass and not an angioplasty. Is back as good as ever. With my dad they did the angioplasty's twice and still had to do the bypass. He's doing wonderful as well. Is she at the same hospital is going too. Guest guest
... This is definately one of those times I wish I was better at keeping up with my e-mail....Even though your mom has already had her surgery and from your post today she is doing ok.... Your mom sounds alot like my mom...although my mom is 81....she is tiny...not sure where I came from....and has lived with us for the last couple of years....last June she had a heart attack...the second in 2 years with a stroke inbetween for good measures....Well the decided she needed a triple bypass which they did on June 16th....I wish I could have warned you of the length of time for the surgery.....waiting is so terrible...although they did have some one come out to us about every hour to tell us how she was doing...they did not give us good odds ...and then all the machines and tubes and wires....very scary....But I did want to tell you that she came thru that with such flying colors...and as far as her heart she is doing very well....she has other health issues that have kept her in a rehab center but her heart is great.....doctors are very pleased.... Like your mom...my mom is a very strong person...personality...but when it comes to pain...sometimes she is not the best...and because of her size the pain meds really knock her out..It took them a long time to be able to regulate them....She recovered really quickly and the scar from just over 10 months ago is hardly noticable....amazing.... please get in touch with me if you just need to talk....between you and your mom and and me and my mom and Ty....well are we mirror sisters....seems like it....I know I am the older sister.... Then as far as today with ....geez...doesn't it seem that some times that everything happens at once....Mom had her first heart attack in 99 and Ty went into the hosp 3 days later and I was scheduled for surgery while they were both in the hosp....3 different hosp...I canceled my surgery and rescheduled for when they were both home....staying with Ty during the day and leaving about 110 pm to drive 2 hours home get a few hours sleep then visit with mom and then back to Ty....for 2 weeks....when my surgery came I was ready for a hosp rest...but was sent home the same day....can't get an even break....I warned them both to NEVER....NEVER...do that again..... Sounds that if anything have Bob and over took the guys minds off there problems...for the time being....a GTO can do that....if you remember I had told you that we...my Bob and I also had a GTO at one time...what a beauty....would love to be able to afford to have one again....OH well ... Know that I am thinking of you today....you and ....praying that all goes well and hopefully will see a post from you later saying all went well and that he is resting peacefully... Hugs to you both...and the whole family...because as we all know the entire family is going thru this...... Luanne Ty's mom
