Guest guest
, I had sharp pain almost immediately post op. It was searring. It was so horrific and unrelenting one day that I actually had to go to the ER. That says a lot when you're a nurse. It was transient pain and everytime I brought it up the my PMD, OB/GYN, or PS they all said the same thing...it's the capsule. Funny thing is, I never really understood what the hell they were talking about until I was explanted and brought my implants home. Part of the capsule is still attached to one of the implants. It's very fibrous tissue that has grown next to the implant and attached itself to it. You May or may not recall, but the implants are slightly textured so that they stay in place and don't slide around within the breast. But that texture also provides the perfect opportunity for scar tissue/capsules to attach themselves. My only other question...scar tissue has nerve endings? It has something, I'll tell you that! It's only been 5 days post op for me so there's no telling if it is gone yet. Christene > > I haven't had explant yet....but have any of you before explant ever have > sharpe pains in breast ? I had one today that lastest 15 min and almost bought > me to my knees. What is that ? I've had theses things 2 1/2 years ! >
Guest guest
Good morning ! Happy to see I'm not alone on the board right now! I had saline filled silicone by McGhan for almost 7 years to the day. They were removed by Atlanta Plastic Surgery. You know I posted another message last Night pretty much in response to 's disability concerns and I don't see it. Also posted another to and don't see that one either! Hmmm... Anyway, I think the the regular medical community would say that my quick results were just in my head, but I know they're not. But even if they were, who cares! I just feel mentally better knowing they are gone and I can niw focus on getting better! It was hard to try to get better when they were still in. My symptoms were just about everything. I had been dealing with everything for so long I thought it was just age? I'm telling you I was a physical disaster! But then I found Patty's site. Of course I wasn't expecting to read the things I did, but once I read her story it all started coming together! Patty will be blessed for an eternity for helping so many women! I'd still be sick right now had she not posted her story on the web. I am immensely grateful to her. I wish there was a way I could repay her...Gratitude just doesn't seem to be enough. My biggest and most concerning symptoms were *skin changes *massive hair loss *hyperhydrosis/ diaphoresis (sweating) very nasty *funky smell despite showers 3x a day *inability to be organized *fever of unexplained origin and the most debilitating.... ***FATIGUE!!*** I'm the kind that bounces off the walls but suddenly became a slug. Oh life was horrible! Many times I questioned why I was living because I was so miserable and disgusted with myself! I'm not fixed, but just seeing the skin changes already tells me that I'm getting there! It gives me hope. Everything has to start somewhere right? Christene > > Thanks ...who did your explant ? Guest guest
Christene, There must be something going on with the posting...because 3 or 4 of mine that I thought posted...weren't there later. ummm Anyway, I sent you an email....and am wondering if you got that. I would love to talk with you about your explantation. Were you put on diflucan and an antibiotic?? Did you send your implants away for testing? > > > > Thanks ...who did your explant ? Guest guest
, I'm sorry, I saw your email and went to reply and ended up getting distracted. Sure, you can call me anytime! Today is especially good since my boys are with their father! ) 404-259-9927 Christene > > > > > > Thanks ...who did your explant ? How long did you have > your > > > implants and were they saline ? Guest guest
- I am curious what kind of skin changes you had. Would you mind refreshing my memory. Thanks. I had some very weird skin changes and was wondering if yours were any like mine. Kathy -- In , " usmcprincess3002 " <usmcprincess3002@...> wrote: > > Good morning !
