Guest guest
Hi all, Given the crazy pace of the MDs that I deal with, and because I just palin miss talking to him, I called my old GI in Connecticut, Dr. Braverman. HE called me back last night and I updated him on everything that is happening with me -- including the wedding plans. I miss my visits with him -- such a funny man and so easy to talk to. I went to him from the time I was 16 until I was 31. Nearly half my life. It was nice to get some perspective -- he had obviously read through my file before he called, so when I was rattling off my ALT. AST, total bili and such, he was surprised to hear how much everything had gone up. Only my ALT was elevated up until 2 years ago. I asked him about the possibility of not needing a transplant, and he told me that it is possible that I could last the next 50 years with my own (I plan on sticking around for a while!). I feel so much better having spoken to him. I trust him implicitly -- he always took such good care of me for all of those years. Everyone have a nice weeekend -- Jens and I have pre-cana tomorrow -- relgious instruction for our wedding - I hope it rains here!
