Guest guest
Hi everyone, My son has been on Diflucan and Nystatin for the past 6 mos. He is on a GFCFSF diet. He gets fruit once a day, sometimes twice. He is 2 1/2 and still will only eat pureed foods (gags with anything else or spits out) Because he only eats purees, we try to thicken them with potato flakes at pretty much every meal. His meals are typically meat and veggie with potato flakes mixed in to thicken. He also gets rice milk twice a day. His yeast level is still high despite the meds. It's hard because we are trying to work on his (sensory?, oral motor? probably both) issues with food and not give the yeast much to feed on at the same time. I've read some posts where people talk about pulse doses of Diflucan/Nizoral. For anyone who has done this can you give me more info? How long did you do each, any time off in between? Any other suggestions? Thanks so much, Kelley
Guest guest
Hi, My insanely-high-yeast child also refused anything that wasn't pureed. We started Diflucan in early Feb followed by Nizoral and Candex in about May. By June, he became open to new foods, and now pretty much eats anything - including raw onions, broccoli, you name it. What we have learned is that Candex was essential. Dosed 1 hour before breakfast in the a.m.. Nizoral at 200mg / 42 lbs child was also much better for us than Diflucan. In July we started hard chamber hyperbarics. This kills yeast, which is an anaerobic bacteria (dies in the presence of oxygen). In terms of food, I recommend you avoid the rice milk until you get the yeast under control. Also, fruit is good because it helps to keep the bowels moving, but bad because it can feed the yeast. Get the Candex, or better yet, Candida Defense, and watch what happens. The first yeast die-off reaction we saw was when we added the enzyme. --penumbra > > Hi everyone, > > My son has been on Diflucan and Nystatin for the past 6 mos. He is > on a GFCFSF diet. Guest guest
you might have better results omitting potato and rice milk. Also you may find fermented foods helpful. We follow Body Ecology diet. > > Hi everyone, > > My son has been on Diflucan and Nystatin for the past 6 mos. He is > on a GFCFSF diet. He gets fruit once a day, sometimes twice. Guest guest
-I have been fighting yeast for long time. We could not it accomplish totally until we realized that the rice milk he was taking was feeding the yeast badly and created bacteria. It has too much sugar. When we removed the rice milk from his diet ( instead we give him hazelnut or hemp milk), decreased starches , increased probiotics and put him in Candex, giving him a capsule before bedtime, we finally conquest the yeast and reduced to a minimum first and later on to nothing. Ah! and adding transfer factor to improve his immune system, given that this is the real cause of him having yeast, his immune system needed to get stronger. -- In mb12 valtrex , " nicksmama517 " wrote: > > Hi everyone, > > My son has been on Diflucan and Nystatin for the past 6 mos. Guest guest
My son's bacteria issue is Clostridia, is that anaerobic? If so I am definitely going to buy the Oxy-C since nothing else is working. TIA! > > > > > > > > How much of the Oxy-c do you give your little one? Guest guest
Just looked it up and found it is anaerobic, which I thought it was, but couldn't remember for sure. I am going to order the Oxy-C. I'll post updates after using it. > > > > > > > > > > How much of the Oxy-c do you give your little one?
