Guest guest
Carondeen, Smatterchoo, I have heard of sodium chlorite being used to help pets with internal problems. Parasites, etc. It is also used to clean up aquariums with difficult algae problems, but not with the fish still in it. Before taking anything like this internally I would recommend you find out the normal dose, cut it way back and know the symptoms of overdose. Then work your way up to the recommended dose. Rememebr, they use averages and statistics to figure out " average dosages " . It should behave much like bleach (sodium hypochlorite) although it will release a different amount of chlorine gas. Externally I expect little difference. JKeep in mind you can make bleach give up it's chlorine faster and compete with chlorite's strength... but you need to know why you would do that before you do. Maybe more chlorine gas to get between textile fibers to clear them of toxin. Bleach is cheap. I can get it to release more chlorine gas faster, but that can also be dangerous if you breath any of those vapors. Yes I think you can take it internally in very low doses but I am leary about how much. I was also leary when I learned that you can use a tablespoon of household bleach in a gallon of water and it will crisp up your vegetables really quickly. Navy kitchens do it every day. (or did 25 years ago) After you drink hyper chlorinated water in some place with dangerous water, you realize you can tolerate a fair amount of it without side effects. Higher than the 2 ppm in city drinking water. I hope you proceed with care and find some success.
