Dr. Schaller wanted to treat our child intravenously for Lyme. We were amazed, as this was not something that we had thought we were looking for. Before leaving his office, we were to sign several of his standard release forms in which he explains on each of them that in NO way is he experienced or will be held liable with his modest self training to treat intravenously for lyme. **********You need to step back and do some research on Lyme disease....I have said it for over a year that Lyme is VERY common with Moldies and vice versa....I do hours of volunteer work within the Lyme communities and IF Dr Schaller says your child needed to be treated for Lyme disease, then I would bet my child on that decision. We left, thought things out, cancelled the next apt. and made an apt. with an infectious disease expert to have a second opinion. **********Right now the IDSA (infectious disease docs) are SNOOKERING patients and causing deaths and lots of suffering....there is a WAR, yes I said WAR going on right now with several LLMD's=Lyme Literate Medical Doctors, who are standing up to the CDC and Infectious disease (IDIOTS). There was just a huge Lyme Rally last week in Connecticut as well as a demonstration at the hospital of the idiot doctors who wrote the Infectious Disease guidelines. Children are DYING as well as adults....many are being misdiagnosed with ALS, MS, Parkinson and Autism, who actually have Lyme disease, they are suffering and DYING.... I wouldn't go to an infectious disease doctor, if they were the last damn doctor on this earth. I DO NOT TRUST THEM, as they have proven with this Lyme fiasco. BEWARE and BE FOREWARNED... That next opinion, two more and our last opinion- from DR. SHOEMAKER in land all came back negative. There was never a positive Western blot or any other type of Lyme test that came back that would have given him (or any doctor) cause to treat our child for Lyme. *********Were those blood test done at IgeneX or Bowen Labs??? If they were not done there, then you got FALSE NEGATIVES, which is common, as the and Western Blot has a 65% FALSE NEGATIVE rate. *********TRUST ME, I'm a LYME victim and MOLD victim, this is nothing to mess with and you are playing Russian roulette by listening to the infectious disease doctors. Personally, living in an area where Dr. Schaller practices, living with biotoxin illness myself and trying to continue seeing the physicians that I have seen locally (who I would like to follow Dr. Shoemaker's protocol -because I absolutely respect his work and continue to be a patient of his) I have found that in the local medical community I live in he has done much to undermine the work of a genius (Dr. Shoemaker). ***************Dr Shoemaker is an excellent doctor and his MOLD work is EXCELLENT, but I'm not familiar with any Lyme patients he has treated. I'm on a private doctors Lyme Literate doctors lists with him and can't remember reading comments about Lyme disease. His work is BIOTOXINS and MOLD at which he is a genius with, but I can't say I would go to him for Lyme disease. In all of this though, I feel, UNLESS you are going to a physician as educated in biotoxin illness such as Dr.Shoemaker, it can never hurt to get a second opinion on something as important as Lyme disease etc. ************Well, an infectious disease doctor is the LAST doctor I would go to for Lyme disease. They are lying bastards and are putting many lives in jeopardy... FOLLOW THE MONEY.....these boys and girls are NOT to be trusted....AT ALL!! **********You insist on Lyme blood work from IgeneX in California and/or Bowen Lab in Florida and do NOT trust any other labs to give you a reading on Lyme blood work. **********Please I am serious....letting Lyme grow deeper into your body and going completely chronic (which usually happens after 30 days from exposure without treatment), then you are jumping into the ride from hell, for the rest of your life. **********Lyme is very contagious...it is found in semen, vaginal fluids, tear ducts, saliva and blood for a start.....You don't have to have a tick bite to be infected with Lyme. Mosquitoes, fleas, dog and cat ear mites, birds, rodents, etc.,e tc., etc., are ALL carriers of Lyme....There have found microscopic Lyme under the skin. It also never hurts to listen to your gut instinct and if something does not seem " right " listen to what you are feeling. I too am sick - even when we cannot think clearly, we still have inner wisdom. I am not the person to ever speak poorly about someone, but I have seen and am watching so many people struggle with this illness - if this experience can help someone, than I don't mind being vocal and sharing this information. My advice is send to Dr.Shoemaker. *********Dr Shoemaker is the one to see for MOLD, but if there is a chance your child has LYME, DO NOT TRUST INFECTIOUS DISEASE DOCTORS TO DIAGNOSE THEM.....find you a LLMY=Lyme Literate doctor to help you. BTW, Dr Schaller has many family members who are suffering from Lyme and I believe he himself has had it and is a remission?? ***********There are literally THOUSANDS of Moldies who are cross infected with Lyme disease and vice versa, and do NOT know it....Protect your child and have further testing at Bowen Labs and/or IgeneX....you will not regret it.... I am a Lyme patient that went to Dr. Shoemaker for treatment as I wanted a doctor that would do an adequate differential diagnosis and not just give me more abx. Dr. Shoemaker felt I had had more than enough abx for the Lyme (he (thankfully) does not believe in long term abx for Lyme). He believed the major issue was the toxins from Lyme and mold. I had a hard time accepting the mold part as I knew I had Lyme - positive Igenex test and I had the classic onset of symptoms and knew when I was bitten by the tick. The only treatment option I was given by local Lyme Literate doctor was long term abx, which just made me sicker. Local Lyme doctor also didn't think gluten intolerance/celiac was something to worry about. It was a big issue and I got tremendous symptom relief. Dr. Shoemaker does know Lyme as he's had it himself several times. His research also includes many Lyme patients. He presents regularly at conferences attended by Lyme literate physicians. He's doing leading edge research on the use of C4A and C3A in diagnosing Lyme. I personally believe the approach by Lyme literate doctors like Klinghardt and Kinderleher is a better approach for some folks, particularly those with the dreaded genotype, who very rarely recover from Lyme with abx alone. Indeed many are like myself and only get sicker on long term abx. My personal experience within the Lyme community is that there are many more of them that need to consider their predisposition for mold (25% of the population) than there are mold folks that need to worry about Lyme treatment. I'm not intending to minimize the impact of Lyme - truly I know first hand how tremendously devastating it is, but I also know from Lyme research and attending conferences with these top Lyme doctors that an equally important issue with Lyme is dealing with all the other diseases that are triggered by Lyme depending upon one's genetic makeup that no amount of abx can fix. There's just no going back once you've had Lyme - the best you can do is to try and improve your immune system to minimize its impact. And living in a house with mold while taking I/V abx for Lyme is plain stupid, but I know folks that are doing just that. Regards, B.
