I invested in a Dyson 2 yrs. ago and LOVE it! The dust and dirt stay in the

plastic canister then I remove it and take it outside to empty into a plastic

bag. It also has a washable filter which is great. If you have a Sears near

you they will gladly give you a demonstration and you can see for yourself.

Sue

Does anyone have any recommendations for health friendly vacuum

cleaners? Does not matter the cost. I just want something that will

be sensitivity and allergy friendly. Thank you.

We also bought a Dyson and like it. The best part for me is that there

is truly no dust or " smell " released back into the air when I vacuum.

A dr's office I once went to had one of those central units that vents

the exhuast outside. I would think this would be the best way to go.

If you can afford it. From some of the sites I looked at seems they

are not much more than some of the expensive portable brands though.

My mold doc swears that Miele's are the best. I'm actually having my ancient

filter queen fitted with a hepa charcoal add-on. I didn't know this, but most

vacuum cleaners can be fitted with these.

If I recall correctly (my daughter has it right now), we purchased

the " Animal " which has all of the attachments. We now have a central

vacuum in the home we are living in which I really like, as it pulls

everything outdoors.

I don't know. My vacuum cleaner is at the shop right now. I'll let you know

what the procedure is. And what it looks like. The repair guy said because of

all the concern these days he outfits many types with the hepa add ons. I can

tell you who it is if you live in the santa cruz area.

Barb,

Here's the phone number of the repair man that is doing this to my vacuum

cleaner. I'm getting it back today and will post how it's working. (831)

476-0677. I'm sure you can ask him any questions you have and he can explain.
