Pizza is just about the worst thing a diabetic can eat...practically guaranteed to shoot your BGs sky high and keep 'em there for a long time! Even one PIECE! 'Nuff scolding. You'll do better next time, I know. Vicki

The Army is experimenting with her meatloaf - using it for artillery shells. The Navy is trying to get her secret to setting water on fire. The Air Force figures they can use her meatballs as a substitute for nuclear bombs - just as much damage, much lower cost. The Marines are testing the bravery of their strongest, meanest men - if they can eat her spaghetti as is, or take the coward's way out and shoot it first - at least then it stops moving. She may not understand just how serious this is. If you need help getting her attention, I can send you pictures of black gangrenous feet of diabetics who used to be alive. Oh, they survived the amputations. It's usually our hearts that do us in first, if we don't have good control. How are your numbers doing? The clowning would actually be energetic and healthy, I would think. Plus, laughter is its own good medicine. Hugs, Susie
Guest guest
Jim - have you been talking to my husband about my cooking??!! Sounds like his description of the stuff that I generate out of the kitchen - i hate to cook - it is boring - all that work - just to have it all scarfed down in 10 minutes - a big mess to clean up and 3 hours later, you have to start all over again - what a waste - my two favorite words are " take out " !! I am so glad that you are home - my prayers are surely with you - and I can tell you how wonderful i think you are. You are such an inspiration to this list and I know that God put you in our lives for a reason. A big hug
Guest guest
Hi everyone, I've been a little out of it since the other day. The cortisone injection i got on tuesday caused me a LOT of problems. Thursday I wound up in the ER because my pain level was up to a 10. The ER doc said the guy who did the injection probably nicked the nerve, which of course, the nerve didn't much like. After a shot of morphine, and finally being able to sleep for about 11 hours, On friday night the pain started coming back so I decided the hell with darvocet and took one of my leftover morphine pills. I'd been taken off it when my hiatal hernia flared, with the intention to go back on......I never officially got put on, but what the hell, worst I did was sleep and at least I got some relief right? I know i missed a lot in the last few days, so everyone just know that i'm thinking of you, my love and prayers are with you all and I wish you pain free days. Did someone ask me about contributing to a pain book? If so, can whoever it was please email me with the info and what you need, how much, deadlines etc? Thanks! Gentle hugs to all Lori aka ladifrog
